I really like Politan Row. It’s cute. There is lots of seating. It’s the right amount of variety.
The Food:
Oxtail Egg Roll: 3/5
I had high hopes for this egg roll. I came specifically for it. I love oxtails and I eat it pretty regularly from different Caribbean islands. I love the concept, however, the flavor was lacking for me. I can still remember what the cabbage tastes like in the egg roll but I can’t remember what the oxtail tastes like. If they seasoned the oxtails more it wouldn’t get overpowered by the cabbage and would be a standout. Also, the egg roll wrapping could be a bit thicker.
Sorrel: 5/5
Perfect. I loved the taste and had the right amount of ginger.
Rice and Peas: 4/5
Good. Nice texture.
Service was good.
Overall rating:3/5

The meals were incredibly fresh and extremely tasty, and the customer service was truly top tier. We ordered the 6-piece wings and the Philly, which came with their unique twist on coco bread, such a great touch. Everything was absolutely delicious. 10/10 across the board!

We stopped into the food truck to support while at the Jazz at the High Museum on a Friday night. The truck was surrounded by clients awaiting their food so we just keep it would be good! The lines were short and the limited menu made our choices easy. The server was fun, friendly and everything you expect at a Caribbean restaurant! Although we waited for a while for our food, it was worth the wait! The mushroom nachos were excellent. Not sure if this is Vegan friendly but definitely lacto-ovo vegetarian. My hubby has the jerk wings and devoured them lol! Other that the wait, I recommend you bring your wallet when you come because these are not regular “food truck prices”. Well…ask your date to bring his wallet

This was my first time and first impression!
I was excited to try this nearby Jamaican spot since I worked at a Jamaican restaurant growing up!
$24 for Philly jerk chicken (coco bread ) and fries + side of plantains($6)
I would say the portion is medium size not large like I was expecting.
The staff was unwelcoming and seemed disengaged. The woman who assisted me appeared unhappy and displayed a lack of professionalism with a noticeable attitude. Additionally, I tried reaching out multiple times via phone to place an order via phone but my calls went unanswered.
Not impressed nor happy with my experience.

Visited here with my boyfriend on a Sunday night and ordered the Jerk chicken nachos, was disappointed when they informed me they were out of queso which is the menus cheese for this dish. So I instead opted in for mozzarella cheese instead, and let me just say… they did NOT disappoint!!! They were so amazing!! I can only imagine how the queso would have been. Absolute 10 out of 10!!! Definitely order!!!! My Jamaican boyfriend also approved for the authentic Jamaican taste!!
Absolutely cleared the bowl it was so good, and the portion size was great! It was enough for two!

Terrible experience. I placed an online order directly on their site. My card was charged and I got a confirmation email. I arrived timely to pick up my order. They claim they didn’t have it on their end. I showed proof, they argued as if I made it up. I had screenshots from bank transactions and email from their company, they acted as if it wasn’t their automated email or merchant system. I waited there over an hour and had to pull teeth to finally get my money refunded, no apology for wasting my time and the inconvenience, mind you they could have just given me my order instead of trying to fight. I understand this is the land of scammers but don’t try to punish me who’s actually legit. If anything they were behaving like they were scamming. Mind you this entire time I was parked in 15mins parking as that was the only option, imaging coming out to an issue with parking over allowed 15mins because they were trying to scam me! Will never patronize again and will let everyone I know to stay far away. Plenty other businesses to patronize. Their reviews are lacking anyhow, tells you a lot especially for the location. Terrible business.

Loved the oxtail roll! At 10 bucks, it may seem pricey. But oxtail is expensive and honestly, they PACK the egg roll with oxtail that is made perfectly and extremely juicy. I got some the truffle fries which were perfectly seasoned and great for sharing with the table along with the tostones. If you like carribbean food, highly recommend checking this place out. The staff was also very sweet and inviting. This location is inside of Politan Row, a food court with great vibes.

The oxtail eggroll is bussin!!! They are a bit pricier at $10 for one eggroll but they are worth trying as the oxtail is seasoned well and the jerk sauce it comes with it is the perfect compliment to it. The jerk Philly on coco bread was also delicious the chicken was seasoned well in traditional jerk seasonings peppers and onions. I went in an early Saturday afternoon and the line wasn’t long so my wait time was only about 10 minutes for my food. This restaurant is located in Politan row which a variety of other cuisines to choose from. The ambience is nice with plenty of seating, a bar and even a kids activity area.
