Last Sunday, I decided to switch things up and try a sub from Buscemi’s instead of their well-known pizza. I’d heard their subs were solid, so I went with the Italian with extra meat—because why not?
Ordering online was a breeze, and when I arrived, my sub was ready to go—no waiting around, which is always a plus. But the real surprise came when I pulled this thing out of the bag… this “regular” 8-inch sub was massive! I honestly can’t imagine what the large looks like.
Now, onto the important part—the taste. One bite in, and I was impressed. The meats were flavorful, the veggies were fresh, and everything was stacked just right. The only downside? The bread started to crumble a bit as I worked through the first half. Not a dealbreaker, but something to note.
I ended up saving the other half for lunch, and even later, it still held up in terms of flavor and quality. Overall, if you haven’t tried Buscemi’s subs, I’d definitely recommend giving them a shot. Easy ordering, fresh ingredients, and a seriously filling sandwich—what more could you want?

I have been a Buscemi’s fan for over 40 years. I have fond memories of going as a child out in Detroit and my dad spending (what seemed like in my young mind) hours talking to the original owner. I have since moved away as an adult but still crave the great Detroit style pizza. All locations have made a take and bake pizza if I request it for me to make at home since I live on the northwest side of the state now. I always stop at any location I’m near to grab one and I give notice. Today I called and wanted to make this request, but today, the Ann Arbor location, is the first store in all these years to deny the request. I know I have requested it in past years from this same location. No I am not mistaken because I am a former local to the area as well. This earned Ann Arbor location 1 star today for being the worst Buscemi’s location.

I have to say I have tried out a large amount of the local pizza places in Ann Arbor and this has to be the best one in my opinion. Sure it’s a bit pricier than something like Dominos, but it provides a more real tasting pizza while supporting the local community. Their Detroit Style is my favorite, and their calzones are to die for. I tried the Antipasto salad with a meal deal, and it was also quite good. This location is also conveniently a liquor store so I can get cold alcohol to wash down my pizza in the same place.

Just had a terrific deep dish pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. The crust was light and airy, yet crispy. The tomato sauce really tasted tomato-y with a light dash of fresh herbs. And there was the right amount of cheese. It had just enough fat to make us feel full and satisfied. Best of all, our pizza cost less than Buddy’s or Little Caesar’s. Highly recommended!

Go to place to buy lotto lol yeah haven’t won!! But they have a great square pizza and wings! On top of that, you can buy your alcohol needs to enjoy with your food.
Their pizza sauce is awesome, makes the pie taste so much better. I would recommend the Detroit style pizza.

This use to be my favorite store in the neighborhood until I experienced disrespectful discrimination from the store owners. Staff never ware mask. As a loyal everyday customer I normally hold conversation as I filled the counter with goodies. I noticed 99% rubbing alcohol an want to purchase a few bottles of those. There were others in the store even the delivery truck. The cashier was rude say no I can’t buy 99% alcohol it’s for their home. I may have ask why one to many times why couldn’t I buy then I was told by the owner shut the f up an get out. I was mortified an confused cried as I left store never to return again.
