Great food and service! My first time there, and I will be back. Driven past it a million times and can’t believe I’ve never been.
Went around 7am on a Sunday and the service was prompt and amazing. Food was on at my table very fast and the waiter was amazing.
HUGE PORTIONS FOR THE BIGFOOT CFS!
10/10 recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious—no complaints at all. The hash browns, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and chicken fried steak were all spot-on, classic comfort food done right. However, the wait was pretty frustrating. There weren’t many people in the restaurant, but it still took about 15 minutes just to place our order and another 40 minutes to get the food. That kind of delay was unexpected given how quiet it was. I’ll definitely come back because the food is worth it, but I’m hoping the service is a bit faster next time.

This is the perfect place. The chicken fried steak is breaded in house and it was so tender you can cut it with a fork. That peach cobbler was great too. If you’re thinking about eating here stop thinking about it and do it.

Good old classic diner. Other people like it, I don’t. I’ve lived nearby and been there once in 11 years (tried this local favorite when I first moved). At that time I noticed there was a lack of fresh ingredients on any menu items. It seemed as if they maybe did not have a produce vendor contract. I’ve avoided it ever since. Well, today, 11 years later we tried it again. The interior wasn’t changed but the menu does have some items that include fresh ingredients, even fruit!
There is one obnoxious loud server who complained loudly about her customers after they left and completely ignored our (her assigned) table. Another server finally checked in on us and served us pleasantly and skillfully.
The food was mediocre. Forgettable. I did make it a point to order an item that included fresh produce.
I can’t remember the last time I could tell my food was cooked in margarine and my toast was buttered with it. Margarine? People still eat that??
They do seem to have a very large variety of desserts and THAT is something Lakewood lacks. Maybe we’ll be back for pie sometime if we can make it before their very early closing time.

We usually have great food and great service when we go for breakfast, but today we decided to go for an early dinner and was really disappointed! The service was slow, the music way too loud for the few tables that were filled and the food was disappointing. I had a small side salad and a bowl of clam chowder. The soup was lukewarm and the broth was thin. My husband had ordered tea and the prime rib dinner. The water for the tea was barely warm, the au jus was cold, the potato, vegetables and prime rib temperatures were ok but could have been better. Our waitress never came back to check on us or ask how everything was so we just ate our meals and intended to let her know when she brought us our check but she was so fast in running our card and dropping off the ticket we didn’t have a chance to say anything!! Guess we’ll return for breakfast but it’ll be awhile before we go there for an early dinner again!

Prices are eye-popping, especially for a diner in Lakewood, WA. Have gone there off and on for 30 years, off now for sure. I asked the waitress for an explanation of their up-charging $4 on a $15.99 BLT to swap fries for a salad, she explained that the menu isn’t accurate and they don’t up-charge for swapping things except the onion rings, so I ordered the tater tots. The bill comes and it was $19.99 for a BLT with tater tots. She said Sorry but that is an up-charge, there is nothing I can do about it. Also, they still have a $.75 charge for eggs, even though they are half what they cost wholesale 6 months ago. Corporate BS.

My son and I had an early morning trip from the airport and I knew I would be too tired to cook once I got home to nap and relax so we decided to stop by this diner on the way home since we only live like 5 minutes away. We were able to seat ourselves which I love because I’m able to sit where I feel most comfortable. We sat at the counter top so that we could get a good view of the action and they did not disappoint. They were incredibly busy (imo) for 8:30am but the orders kept coming and they were getting them out, hot and ready, fast! We weren’t sitting in our seats for 2 hot seconds before someone was taking our drink orders and then next thing you know we were ordering our food too. I loved not having to wait to be serviced or noticed in such a busy place. Tessa was our waitress and let me tell you, she was amazing! She was on top of it! Because we were at the counter we had the pleasure of watching how they all operate together and I thought they worked well together in that busy environment. I could tell my waitress was kind of in charge because she was giving everyone orders but she did it with such grace and composure it was exciting to watch and didn’t forget about little old us in return. The food was PHENOMENAL. My son had a waffle and home fries, and I had the corn beef hash which is homemade not from a can and added peppers and onions to my home fries. Everything was fresh, seasoned well, and tasted delicious and that says a lot because I am a hard person to please when it comes to dining out. Even when there was a problem with our order, Tessa took special care of us and made it right again. I will definitely be returning with the rest of my family (of 5) because it’s not everyday we find a place here there’s something on the menu we all can enjoy! Thanks Bur’s and a special thanks to Tessa for such a pleasant experience!

This is a wonderful place to go for breakfast. It was my first time but I’d heard about it. Our waitress was so helpful and kind. She made us feel like family. We were all full and happy when we left.

The staff here was thoughtful and very nice. The food was ok. Nothing memorable. Had the Reuben and it was at least true to what you’d expect on flavor. The Toscana soup with sausage, potato and kale was great. Simplicity is what you’d expect from an old school diner like this. The breakfast items were cooked perfectly. The strawberry pancakes were fairly epic unto themselves. Mixed drinks were ok.
