For fans of Burritos La Palma, the Costa Mesa location is a wonderful addition to the list of locations. There is indoor and outdoor seating here which accommodated our family of 7 easily. The bathrooms were clean. They even have a fountain drink machine to expand beyond the bottles served at other locations. However, the best part of this location has been the staff. Both times we’ve been they have exceeded all expectations, bringing our food to the table, checking on us multiple times, and even cleaning empty baskets. Honestly, the staff are so nice I’d go back just for them. The fact that the food is incredible and deserves its reputation as one of the best burritos and tortillas in the world makes this an easy 5-star experience.

These guys are legendary! Hard to find better flour tortillas. Every meat is top tier. Pricier than your average burrito but way more quality than the average. I’ve been to a location in Mexico – it’s practically the same. Truly authentic, these guys deserve all the praise and accolades they receive. Also, I’ve been to multiple locations in SoCal – this is the nicest one. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Not really understanding the hype here, maybe because I am not use to authentic Mexican? If so, that’s okay. The tortilla itself is good and I can tell the meat is quality. However, the burritos lack flavor, the salsa is pure liquid. Pretty disappointed for being on the Michelin guide. Probably won’t be coming back. Again, maybe I am just not understanding of the mission of their food.

Bought 3 burritos for $16, not filling at all. The more common burritos at taco trucks are a much better deal for much better tasting food. Need to pay for having beans in my burritos too. Refer to picture to see how skinny they are. The award winning tortillas aren’t anything to write home for.

I love this place; I’m here at least once a month. These are very good burritos. They are on the smaller side, so I would recommend 2-3 depending on your appetite, but that’s not a bad thing because you can try more things.
The staff is always super nice and the music is on point.
The only drawback I could point out is: it is not the most competitively priced.

The deshebrada burritos are bomb!! There is potato in it, but it blends in with the meat. I can’t wait to try the birria next time.

Burritos are so tiny and mediocre. $5.00 for a children’s size burrito that doesn’t taste all that great. I imagine people will go here once. Better to stick to Great Mex on Newport Blvd or even Taco Bell across the street!
