From start to finish, Tyler was supportive, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping us make it a success.
They have a great menu with wide range of selections with fresh and healthy options, a clean facility, and friendly staff!

Hear ye, hear ye! Gather ’round, good folk, and lend thy ears! For this is the tale of The Day the Burrito Shack Did Betray the Brave Ninett. ⚔️
’Twas midday when hunger’s cry did echo through yon office halls. She, valiant of heart and armed with $15 and hope, did embark upon the pilgrimage to Burrito Shack. Long she waited—thirty minutes amidst the smell of promise and cilantro.
But lo! When the sacred foil was lifted… tragedy. Frozen guac, cold as betrayal. Carne asada, saltier than the tears of a forsaken goddess. Her tastebuds, noble warriors, fell upon the battlefield that day.
And thus we sing:
“Oh Burrito Shack, thou bringer of sorrow,
Thy guac was green, but not of life’s color.
May future diners heed this lore—
And bring their own guacamole, forevermore.”
Update—10/18/2025..Thy Google forbids my direct reply to the Burrito Shak king.
Alas! Thy words have touched my weary soul,
and though the memory of The Frozen Guac of ’25 still haunts my tastebuds,
I am not without mercy.
I shall return, brave keepers of the Shack,
but no coin shall I offer this time.
Nay — it is you who must restore balance to the realm!
Bring forth the warmest guac, fresh and lively,
to soothe this wounded bard’s heart and cleanse the shame of that icy betrayal.
Do this, and peace shall once more reign between us.

I accidentally went to their soft opening by ordering online while traveling. I am not a real food critic lol.
Food was delicious with unique flavors.
I got:
The Sergeant Major chicken quesadilla – my fav of the 3. Gooey, creamy, some delish sauce?!? Good enough portion to be a full meal!
The Aloha burrito – pork – pork had a Smokey flavor. Pineapple chunks are a great unique flavor – and a neat taste when combined with some heat!!
and The S-turn – ground beef – love that it’s beef is an option, but I want to have to chew my protein more. Very easy to eat
Chocolate chip cookie – seemed like it was baked for my order. Fresh out the oven goodness! This was like a homemade chocolate chip cookie, not the premade and prepackaged stuff restaurants often carry.
Chips – also hot and delicious!
Drink – pibb Xtra. Underrated bev

This was a refreshing change to other burrito places, especially for Rocky Mount. Fresh, quick, and very friendly staff. The assortment of salsa’s made it great too because if you aint sweatin’ it aint good. Build your own burrito with carne asada, lots of jalepeno’s and fresh cilantro, plus a nacho plate, drink, chips and queso for $28. The wife was pleased

So far I am loving Burrito Shack, it definitely gives Chipotle a run for there money. It’s clean, inviting, and the staff are very nice. They have more topping options than Chipotle as well, there melted queso taste like actual cheese, their free chips are thin and crispy and I love the self serve sauce station. Only con I have is the meat portion are small. But if you if you are a fan of this type of cuisine, it’s a must try…I add a pic of my bowl. I know it looks sloppy, because I wanted to try everything lol

Our family has enjoyed eating here several times, and every visit has been fantastic. I even brought some of my employees, and now they love the food here too! The service is amazing, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. I especially love the burrito bowl — and the peach jalapeño salsa is the absolute best! We’ll definitely be regulars!

You know what? Burrito Shak should be ashamed of themselves because……. THAT FOOD WAS TOO GOOD!!! O my goodness! I had the Shaka Bowl, but selected what I would like in it. Everything was fresh, chopped jalapenos, black beans, chicken, rice, red onion, lettuce was green (Iykyk), meat was juicy and seasoned right. Guacamole was fresh. I had chipotle ranch on top of my bowl and that was a good combination. Queso was a bit sweet but great, had me humming and tapping my feet. The amount of food you receive is more than enough. Affordable prices.I used to go to two other well known spots for bowls or burritos, but Burrito Shaka done took over. Oh and if you’re a vegetarian, this is the spot for you with different varieties. Kids can enjoy the food also. The atmosphere was calm but friendly. The color of the restaurant on the inside is vibrant. I will definitely be back again with my husband. I’m about to take a bit of his food next! lol.

Talk about a business model…this one hits all the marks!!! The food is absolutely delicious with a splendid variety of menu items. The whole facility is very clean and well organized. The serving line moves with careful but expedient precision. All the staff members are very professional and friendly. A consistently positive experience each time we have visited which averages 1.5 times per week.
