I’ve been going there for 20 plus years way before you guys owned it and the service is always been great the food’s always been great and now all of a sudden I don’t get salsa with my burritos. And then your guy wanted to argue with me about salsa I guess you just lost a long time customer over two small salsas. Good customer service burrito King

The burritos are really good, and for that reason I rarely try something else off of their impressively lengthy menu, but the few times I have, that has been good too. You have to try their hot sauce, while it is pretty spicy, it has a fantastic flavor that pairs well with the food.
My only complaint after eating there dozens of times is that, if I’m ordering a $10 burrito, I would hope that any effort at all was put in to distributing the ingredients along the length of the tortilla. Pretty much every time I order a burrito, I chew through rice, then beans, then lettuce and cheese, then the meat. I would like to enjoy all of the ingredients at the same time!
UPDATE: Since posting this review I’ve noticed that the ingredients are distributed throughout the burrito a lot more evenly, so I’m bumping this review up to 5 stars!

Burrito King in Lawrence is an absolute gem! Their burritos are massive, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients. The carne asada and breakfast burritos are my personal favorites—always perfectly seasoned and satisfying. The staff is fast, friendly, and the drive-thru is a lifesaver when you’re craving something delicious late at night.
Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or a midnight snack, Burrito King always hits the spot. Great prices, generous portions, and unbeatable flavor—definitely a Lawrence classic!

Stopped there after 12 and would do it again great food and better customer service. The manager accommodated my dietary restrictions and suggested the deluxe chicken nachos. As you can see by the picture it was a great recommendation. They open until 3 am with a drive thru.

I love Mexican food. I’m always looking for a new place to try. I’m in town for a couple of weeks and I’ve been dying to try a out a New Mexican food place. Everyone recommended Burrito King. I pulled up to the drive-thru, but the menu was huge! There was no way I would be able to decide quickly enough, so I pulled over and parked so I could order from the window.
After several minutes I ordered the 3 chicken tacos with guacamole and my daughter ordered the shrimp tacos with a chicken quesadilla and a Mexican coke. I got the plate, so it came with refried beans and Mexican rice. I really liked the way the chicken was seasoned.
Altogether our bill was $41. I think it’s a really good deal. My meal, 3 chicken tacos, refried beans and rice was only $9.25!
The meal was very good. I would have liked it if they had corn tortillas for the tacos.
The service was really good! The employees were very friendly and helpful. It looks like kind of a dive, but it’s got really good food. Unfortunately they didn’t give me a fork with which to eat my rice and beans and when I went back to ask for one and some salsa, but they didn’t see me or hear me, so I left. But fortunately I keep my own reusable utensils in my car.
Prices are great! Very reasonable.
I would definitely go back.

I’ve heard and read this place is the BEST for a burrito and I’m ashamed to say I haven’t tried it UNTIL NOW! I roar up in my “beep! Beep! I’m adorable” Chevy sonic and look for a parking spot because I like to order from inside. ALAS! NO ORDERING FROM INSIDE! GAH! I pull up behind a puff daddy truck and realize there’s a really long line. Wow! Must be some good stuff! The line moves along and I’m next to a HUGE menu. FOLKS! please visit their website and know what you’re ordering-be prepared! I order a bean and cheese burrito and an order of guac/salsa/queso and chips. The ordering speaker definitely reminds me of Charlie Browns teacher-WA WA WA. Good luck understanding. I opt for the hot salsa and hurry home (without too much speeding) to eat! I already know I need dairy to soften the burn so yep! Hello a tall glass of Fairlife! My first bite of the bean and cheese burrito is eye widening. WOW! WHAT?! a super bland burrito can taste this good? The beans are mushy/crunchy and the cheese plays perfectly. The hot salsa? Oh sweet Mother of all salsas, this is tongue burning, fire out of your head and smoke out of your ears- it’s exceptional. The guac is definitely handmade and is full of chunks of avocado and onion-no tomato but the cilantro and lime are present. The queso is probably from a frat size can as it’s just ok. Nothing spectacular. Again, the shining star is the salsa. It makes everything taste fabulous. No atmosphere to speak of but the food compensates nicely. Be prepared prior to arrival to know what you want. It’s quick, inexpensive and tasty! Definitely going back!

I’ve never had a bad experience until today.
Their cheese smelled weird and I found a DEAD FLY INSIDE!!!
There was a whole dead fly inside of the burrito.
I went back asking for a reimbursement which they couldn’t do…..
They made me a new burrito, but had me look through it to make sure there wasn’t another dead fly inside.
Which I shouldn’t have to do to begin with……….
Definitely not thrilled with my experience or the customer service.
Will not eat here again.

Any time I come within a 30 mile radius of LFK, I will make it a point to stop and get a #5 Spicy steak burrito. Hands down best burrito I’ve had. Puts Chipotle to absolute shame!

No limes with my tacos, and no napkins. If you like tacos don’t waste your money here and go to Taco El King. Burrito King takes just as long for a way more disappointing and disgusting result, heed my warning
