My recent takeout experience from Burp Catering centered solely on their shrimp alfredo, and while it had its merits, there were a couple of significant points to note.
The alfredo sauce itself was genuinely delicious – rich, creamy, and well-seasoned, clinging nicely to the pasta. It tasted fresh and clearly made with good ingredients. The portion of pasta was also quite generous, which was appreciated.
However, I was quite surprised that the shrimp in the alfredo still had their tails on. For a takeout dish, this made eating it a bit inconvenient and messy, requiring me to remove each tail as I went. Additionally, I found the amount of shrimp provided to be somewhat skimpy. For the price, I had expected a more substantial portion of the main ingredient.
While the flavor of the sauce was good, the issues with the shrimp’s preparation and quantity impacted my overall satisfaction. It’s a dish with potential, but those two factors certainly need addressing for a better customer experience.

I made the mistake of ordering just one collard green egg roll… and I’ve never been so mad at myself!
Let me tell you, this thing was phenomenal. The collard greens were clearly the star of the show…fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. There was just the right amount of cheese to complement, not overpower the greens. The sauce… ohhh Whew! It had the ideal balance of sweet and heat that tied everything together beautifully.
The egg roll itself was battered and fried to golden perfection, giving every bite a crispy, satisfying crunch. You could tell it was made with care. Nothing felt frozen or rushed, just real, delicious flavor.
Next time, I’m ordering three. Don’t sleep on these!

I know I am a very good cook when it comes to soul food, however every time I eat at Burp I am reminded that there are those who are better at their craft. Listen the food is made with love and you will not be disappointed. Today I had the fried turkey chops and was not disappointed as they were accompanied with some delicious macaroni and cheese and candied yams. I had a collared green egg roll which is a must for me. I am not even a collard green guy and I love the collard green egg rolls! People trust me on this one!

The food was pretty good. I had the hibachi noodles with veggies and extra garlic butter. I didn’t taste the garlic butter and I think $1.50 for extra butter is too much. While it was still delicious, I would suggest cutting the bell peppers and onions smaller and cooking them til soft. The broccoli had a nice bite to them though and were roasted.
The turkey chops were delish! Never had them before. I got them fried and they tasted just like fried pork chops. Loved them! I would suggest if the chop is small, perhaps add an additional one or don’t serve it. The potato with broccoli and cheese was pretty good too.
Lastly, the strawberry lemonade was ridiculously good. Buy two per person, trust me!!!

The food was amazing! Not only was the food amazing but the customer service was awesome also. I tried the lamb chop rice bowl and the lamb chops were seasoned so good and the meat was so tender. But I can’t forget about those collard green egg rolls and that jerk chicken baked potato…the absolute best! If you haven’t tried Burp Catering you’re missing out! Get there NOW!!!!
