The Atmosphere & Service There are plenty of seating options, making it great for different group sizes. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, which makes every meal feel welcoming.
The Food Everything we ordered was delicious:
Tea Leaf Salad: Fresh, crunchy, and perfectly balanced.
Burmese Style Chicken Curry: Rich in flavor and pairs perfectly with their Coconut Rice.
Burmese Iced Tea: A refreshing must-order.
A Quick Note on the Water One unique touch I love is that they serve water infused with fresh cucumber from a large jar. It’s very cooling and refreshing. However, if you have a cucumber allergy, definitely let the staff know or be cautious, as it is the standard water served.
Summary Great food, lovely people, and total consistency. Highly recommended!
There are ample veggie options and they can also take request to adjust for vegetarians. If you like a little spicier, go for their medium spice, as the mild versions were a little bland. Prices are reasonable.
The roti was flaky and crispy. The honey walnut prawns were also crunchy (fried) and sauced deliciously. The meat in the curries were tender. Even the shwe gyi surprised us with the size. It was moist and definitely made fresh there. The mango ice cream was also very flavorful.
A lot of my family ordered the Burma Tea which the staff described like a Thai Tea. My mom who never had Thai Tea enjoyed it.
At the end of the meal, we were so stuffed. I was impressed with the taste and how well cooked/ prepared all the dishes were, especially since we were a large group.
Plus the staff were all so kind, helpful, and attentive. They also seemed happy! Which is rare. It made for a very pleasant dining experience.
All in all, I recommend Burma Bay and would come again!
Tea Leaf Salad was refreshing with lentil crunch in it.
Minted jalapeño Chicken was a different variety with average taste.
Mango Chicken was okay and the noodles in it were unnecessary.
Basil & Dried Chili Beef was as expected; good.
Nan Gyi Dok was a mushy lump of noodles with a really bad “wet towel” taste.
Pineapple fried rice were very dry and tasteless.
I also remember seeing a man inside doing something with noodles with his hands. I couldn’t see properly but it looked like he was wiping the noodles. I should have said something! The thought of it makes me wanna throw up.
I also got the Oh No Khao Swe, which ended up being the highlight. The coconut-based broth was rich, creamy, and comforting, with just the right amount of spice. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and all the toppings blended beautifully into the dish. It felt like true Burmese comfort food.
Overall, great delivery experience and delicious dishes. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again, especially for the Oh No Khao Swe!
Date/time of visit: Friday night, ~7:00 PM
Parking: in the adjacent parking lot, shared with other businesses. Free. No valet. They have EV/Tesla charging.
Party size: ~25
Environment/ambience: since we had large party, we were setup in the back. It wasn’t too busy or loud. Good place for all party sizes.
Service: was pretty good.. they allowed us to pre-order, which was pretty good on them for a large party like ours. Food came out pretty quick and most of it was correct but some mishaps because we were a large party, which was alright since they fixed them pretty quick. Food was still hot when we ate.
Food: everything was good.. but we were really full by the time we got there. But food was still good; I had the black and pepper chicken with rice, which was good. Since we pre-ordered, we couldn’t cancel some, haha.
Cost: my boss paid , so didn’t see the bill but everyone ordered full meals so guessing ~$30/person. ~$1000 total with tip.
Would I go back (yes/no): 70/30
The servers were extremely patient and friendly, introducing guest favorites and giving recommendations to us. 10 stars for their service
We enjoyed the dishes we ordered. They were flavorful without overpowering the ingredients, and the ingredients tasted fresh
Price is reasonable compare to other pricier restaurants in other parts of the Bay. We’ll be back to try other dishes
