It was our first time there. We weren’t sure if we should walk up to the counter or have a seat. We went to the counter. Maybe a sign near the door would help. (Please seat yourself OR Please order at the counter.)
The atmosphere was open, nostalgic with lots of memorabilia , and Proud American !
Clean booths, floors, tables, and restrooms. You have a choice of booths or tables depending on the size of your group. There were several containers of Sweet Tea, not just 1. The ice machine worked well. Plenty of napkins on the tables. Which was a good thing. The sandwiches were delicious and juicy. The fries were not as crunchy as we would have liked but still good. Next time we will try the onion rings, hopefully they’ll be crispy.
Service was friendly with all the people we dealt with. Our sandwiches came out shortly after I filled our 2 large teas. Chicken bacon ranch and a cheese burger. Someone checked on us. We were given a warm sample of their upside down pineapple cake.
Definitely a place you should try.

Great burgers and fries! My husband and I stopped by here while we were passing through and I’m glad we did! Great food and atmosphere, reminds me of a place my hometown in West Texas use to have.

Husband and I stopped in because he was craving a burger and this place was near us. This was our first time here and we cant wait to go back. Burgers were excellent and the staff was so nice. Its hard to find a great burger at a nice price anymore but they blew us away. 10 out of 10 recommended

This place is dangerous, there burgers are amazing, I have lived in Sulphur springs for almost 5 years and just discovered about a month ago, best place to eat i was a fan number on from whataburger but you guys made me switch, is always crowded so plan ahead .

I got a simple order of Cheeseburger and fries. The Burger was a good 4/5 juicy, good flavor, but the fries were obviously made long before and reheated in one of the two microwaves on the back wall. Soggy and limp as you can see in the pic a steak fry should never be in that shape 1/5 on the fries, and this was during the noon lunch rush when I would expect them to be fresh. Could have at least reheated them in the fryer for just as long as the microwave and they’d crisp up again. Major disappointment.

Always great burgers. Fries are the STAR though. ALWAYS fresh, real and HOT. Fry salt is a favorite for my husband, lettuce is always crisp and prices are reasonable. Got to Whataburger and get two meals for $20 OR got to a small business and get the same for $20 plus friendly faces and great customer service. Owner is always so kind AND behind the counter cooking, the ladies that take orders and clean tables are the KINDEST.

Waited in the drive through line forever, I was the only one in line. No customer service whatsoever. When I finally received my food, the fries looked like they were cooked in dirty grease, there was no firmness to them at all. So I thought that would be the end of my disappointment because surely they made me wait forever because it was going to be fresh, nah. My burger was tough, no flavor, just like the fries. Ohh but the hamburger was firm, too firm. Who uses minced onions on a burger? Won’t be back, I asked for a to go menu…. Didn’t have one.

Woah. Hand pressed burgers for a fraction of the price of others? Yes, please. These burgers were good size, I couldn’t finish mine. They were so juicy, but not greasy. The small fries were more like a medium. We got a cheeseburger, a cheddar burger (heads up, it was not cheddar, but instead cheddar jack), and two small fries for about $20. Bring cash for a tip. Service was lacking a little, we walked in and were unsure if we were supposed to go to the counter or seat ourselves. It took a few minutes to be acknowledged, but they were cooking and doing things, not standing around. Tables were dirty, one was being taken by a server’s pen and apron, so we ate in the car. While eating, the place really filled up. I assume they anticipated the crowd and were preparing, so I’m understanding of the slower service and cleanliness. Overall, we would probably put this resturaunt in our bi weekly rotation if we lived in the area. Good quality ingredients for an even better price. Also, you can see all the awards and community work the business has done, which we appreciate and respect. Definitely give them a shot if you haven’t!!
