We ended up ordering to go for another waffle and cheese burger. So good.
Note: my 8 year old says the waffle tasted like Waffle House. The cheese burger is a messy cheese burger, be ready with napkins. The curly fries are just fantastic.
Overall we had a great time and will come back.
We walked in and were promptly seated around 6pm. The place was already pretty full but they found us a nice quiet booth in the back.
Lisa was our server she was quick and on point with everything!
We had stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer which were cooked just the way they are supposed to be with beer batter and not cornmeal!
I had Gary’s Breakfast which was biscuits and gravy with my choice of meat which of course I chose sausage!
The misses had Chicken Fried Chicken which she said was absolutely fabulous!
Thank you so much for the hospitality we will be back to try something new!
The chicken fried steak ($12.99) was very tough and difficult to cut. The fried squash was greasy and soggy, and the ketchup bottle on the table was dirty. When I opened it, the ketchup was bubbling, so I opted to ask for packets instead.
That said, the burger at our table looked fantastic — thick, juicy, and topped with crisp vegetables. The fries were also perfectly crispy.
I’m hoping this was just an off day, because they’ve done better before. I’ll likely give them another try.
With that being said – will I return? Yes as the majority of the time the food is good and the price is more than reasonable.
The staff seems to change somewhat often but they are attentive to your needs.
When you visit it’s either packed or almost empty. The parking lot is gravel and somewhat small but it seems to work well for the most part.
If you are in the area give them a try.
We went midday on a fairly busy Sunday. There was no wait and we were told to take a seat in the back.
There were flies all over the place. 5 to be exact harassed us while we sat waiting for service. We had to retrieve our own high chair, which had broken/missing straps.
Table looked clean. Staff was very obviously busy which we understand. They were still very attentive and nice.
The food was less than impressive. The whites of the eggs were clear and snotty all over the top (my daughter was trying to eat around it and I instantly lost my appetite and felt sick) and the pancakes were almost crispy. I asked for my bacon burnt and it was slightly crispy. It still had good flavor though. I didn’t bother eating the eggs or pancakes and neither did my daughter’s. The biscuits here are awesome though and the white gravy was pretty good too. They had Smuckers jams which is always a plus. The orange juice was too sweet, almost syrup like.
The Mexican omelet was okay. It was an omelet with chili on it. The chili tasted pretty generic, could have easily been Wolf brand.
One thing that was really bothersome is that it sounded like they had some kind of blender behind us. They have an entire work/drink station in the back of the restaurant between the restrooms. They were running what sounded like blenders back there our entire meal. It was so loud we could barely talk to each other and my kids were incredibly stressed out by it. I ended up packing the youngest of them up and leaving my husband and older kids to finish up their meals and pay.
The bathrooms were okay. Bugs on the floor and in rough shape but clean for the most part.
Overall, I won’t be back.
