My wife and I ate here at about 8:30pm January 1, 2026 just before our 8 hour flight home, and we both had food poisoning. We travel a lot, and we’re pretty tough when it comes to what food we can eat. I was a little suspicious when the burgers we were served were not even remotely warm. We boarded our flight at 10pm and after a few hours of sleep, we both came down with stomach ache, nausea, and vomiting. The onion rings were so bad, we tried one and didn’t eat anymore. My guess is they have no quality control when it comes to how long they keep cooked food in the warmers for. Worse yet that we paid airport prices for our meal. Avoid at all costs.

Just avoid this place. It’s in an airport on an island so of course it wouldn’t be cheap but it’s nearly TRIPLE normal prices.
Staff were rude and could barely understand english to the point where they charged us for the meal (doubles the price) for asking for just a water cup. I truly don’t know if they are incompetent or malicious, could be either.
Food wasn’t even good. For that price, it should at least compare to a normal BK, but it doesn’t. Bun was soggy, and so were the fries, which also had no salt.
I didn’t expect much from bk to begin with, but even then, this location was still disappointing. You’re better off grabbing a premade sandwich from the counters next door.

Very kind and way better than Sammy’s. I don’t know why they get negative reviews. I have received the service and product that is advertised and if not more. The only reason I could guess is the price…. That is everywhere here.

My wife got food poisoning after eating here on Dec 30 at 10 pm. She felt terrible during the flight afterwards, was vomiting on the plane, and still didn’t recover after 4 days.

Super expensive (large double whopper combo is $25, just the double is $15) but they somehow pulled the best whoppers I’ve had in a while. If you don’t mind the price, absolutely worth a stop.

This BK is located inside Kahului Airport. If you dine in, you get a killer view of the tarmac and Haleakala! Prices are slightly higher than neighborhood locations. Our Whopper & Whopper Jr. combo meals, large size, rang up at $30 and change.
Service was fast and friendly.

This has to be the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was sold out so all I could get was a their whopper and it’s terrible. $28 for 2 “burgers” that make McDonald’s look like a Gordon Ramsey restaurant.

I LOVE Burger King, but not this one. Not only are their prices high from being at an airport (expected), but they also don’t accept the Burger King App, nor can I earn points after I pay $25 for a combo meal. You must hate your customers here, right?

I got food poisoning after eating at the Burger King inside the Kahului (OGG) Airport in Maui. I grabbed food before my flight to Oregon, and not long after eating it, I became extremely sick. I spent the entire flight dealing with nausea and stomach pain. It completely ruined my travel experience. Clearly, something wasn’t handled properly — whether it was spoiled ingredients or poor food safety. I won’t be eating at this location again, and I hope Burger King takes a serious look at their food handling practices here.
