Again the cashier apologized for the wait. I told her she couldn’t make the onion rings cook faster. She said that wasn’t the problem, they hadn’t been dropped yet. That’s when I saw someone bringing a bag of frozen onion rings thru a door from the back.
Now I wasn’t happy and getting impatient; I had to get back to work. I finally got my order and while getting some extra napkins, the cashier asked if I would like a drink because I had to wait so long. I told her that would be nice since I work outside (and it was a hot day) and I can always use an extra drink.
I don’t know who dropped the ball on my onion rings, it wasn’t the cashier and it wasn’t busy. But she did apologize and offered a free drink. I don’t get angry over silly things like this, what’s the point? but she kinda made up for it, so I left satisfied enough.
While pulling up to the drive through, and still before I get to the intercom to place my order, the vehicle in front of me and I were approached by a taller black male outside smoking. The male was wearing a Burger King uniform. He requested me and the other vehicle to roll down our windows asked what we wanted to order, and requested money. Overall, it did not immediately concern me as I figured the intercom was not working, however, it was quickly evident it was working as the person before began ordering through the intercom. When I told the employee I would prefer to use the actual drive thru or go somewhere else, he appeared agitated.
Based on the totality of the circumstances (approaching while seemingly on his break, attempting to conduct business away from cameras, and requesting cash), I believe he may have had I’ll intentions.
