Savoring Perfection: A Burger Odyssey at Burger Buds in Enumclaw, WA

Nestled in the shadow of Mount Rainier, where the Cascade foothills whisper promises of rustic charm, lies a unassuming food truck that’s quietly revolutionizing the art of the smash burger: Burger Buds at 1110 Marshall Ave, Enumclaw. If you’ve ever dreamed of a place where fine-dining finesse crashes into fast-casual bliss—like a Michelin-starred patty meeting a drive-thru window—this is it. On a crisp October afternoon, with the scent of sizzling beef tallow wafting through the air like a siren’s call, I pulled up to this gem parked alongside a local brewery. What followed was nothing short of a flavor epiphany, the kind that leaves you plotting your next visit before you’ve even wiped the sauce from your chin.

Let’s cut to the chase: the burgers here are transcendent. I opted for the legendary Wenatchee, a bold twist on the classic that layers crispy-edged smash patties (each a generous 1/4 lb of high-quality beef, smashed to caramelized perfection) with tart apple slices, creamy blue cheese crumbles, and a garlicky aioli that ties it all together in harmonious rebellion. Imagine the sweet crunch of autumn orchard apples cutting through the savory funk of blue cheese—it’s like Washington State’s bounty bottled into every bite. The patties? Juicy on the inside, with those lacy, crispy edges that scream “smash burger artistry,” all cradled in a soft, toasted bun that yields without sogginess. No filler here; just pure, unadulterated beef bliss that had me moaning mid-bite.

But hold onto your napkins, because the sides steal the show in their own right. The fries—oh, the fries—are a revelation, double-fried in beef tallow for that impossible crunch outside and fluffy, potato-poetry interior. Dipped in their house garlic aioli.

Service? Swift, smiling, and spot-on. The crew behind the truck operates with the precision of a pit crew and the warmth of old friends—orders fly out in under 10 minutes, even on a busy Saturday, and they’re pros at handling tweaks (gluten-free bun? No sweat). The vibe is pure PNW casual: grab your bounty, snag a picnic table outside the adjacent brewery, and let the Rainier views soundtrack your feast. It’s not fussy—it’s freeing.

In a world of chain-link mediocrity, Burger Buds stands tall as Enumclaw’s crown jewel, boasting a stellar **4.8/5** across platforms from loyal locals raving about “the best burger I’ve ever had” to out-of-towners driving 45 minutes for a fix. Prices are a steal (burgers hover around $12-16), making it accessible indulgence. If you’re road-tripping the Cascades or just craving a burger that punches way above its weight, detour here. Buds doesn’t just serve food—it ignites cravings. Five stars, Just go. Your taste buds will thank you.

First time at Burger Buds, went here on a whim after a long hike and the service was incredible. The man serving was working on his day off, the Wenatchee Burger was INSANELY good. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting or anyone who lives in the area.

1st time trying out this food truck. Everyone was sharing how great the food was. Saturday, March 7th 8:30 pm we were order #29. Got the Wenatchee Bowl my husband got the Ringer. 2 order of fries with 4 bud sauces. $ 32 or so and gave a $5.00 tip. We got the notification and grabbed our food without checking the bag. Our bad. We got home and all we got was the bowl two fries only two sauce and no Ringer burger. We live 15 miles and by the time we found out they wre closed. Gave a call and no calls went through – we got the I’m sorry you call didn’t go through. So I couldn’t even leave a message. Needless to say my husband had a few choice words and drove back to McDonald’s which now it is 9:37pm and even his order from McDonald’s was screwed up

Is customer service still a thing? Is it important? Do businesses check for accuracy of the orders and quality of the products they are selling. I’m old school and it was ingrained in me as a life rule check your work for accuracy and quality because everything matters.

Pretty good Smash burger, the fry sauce was delicious, you can tell there’s not a lot of preservatives because I did not feel lethargic at all after eating a pretty substantial meal.

Is it healthy? Well it’s healthy for the soul. Definitely give it a try!

I really wanted to love Burger Buds but my experience wasn’t great. When we were ordering, I asked what kind of pickles they use (dill or sweet). First, the young man asked me which burger I was asking about. Odd since it’s unlikely that they have different pickles for different burgers. But, maybe! He asked the other man working and they told me the pickles are dill. They’re not dill. Luckily I’m not allergic to sweet or bread and butter pickles. I just don’t like them. That said, the fries were great and there wasn’t a long wait for the food. It was great to be able to sit inside the brewery.

Customer Service is top notch. Jay has always been great when we order. They should be rated a 10 Star if the system allowed. Also, food is phenomenal. Keep up the great work . We come to Enumclaw all the time to go glamping and are constantly coming to Buds Burgers to eat. I promise you all you will not be disappointed. Great customer service and the Burgers are AMAZING as well.

If your are looking for a good burger and this place is an option without hesitation this is the best spot in town. Sometimes late at night I will sit up craving a Wenatchee Burger. I often times find myself making excuses to come to Enumclaw just to stop by this place! The fries are real deal fries none of that sissy crap. The burger was so good I forgot to get a photo of it!
