Moved away from the Athens area in 2013. Still have family there. Places I missed food wise in Athens came to mind and Burger Barn is one of my 2. I’d get burgers and fries for my hubby right before his lunch break so it’d be ready when he headed home. We’d meet at home at the same time every time. Best burgers and fries! 12/10

I have been wanting to try this place since we moved to the area. I finally made time to do it. After reading reviews I was concerned but after meeting Bob and talking to him I was pleasantly glad he was a nice enough guy to get my business. Food was delicious and at a fair price. Prices have gone up. (But what prices haven’t) if you’re in the area give him a try. He does except debit cards and there is not place to sit to eat FYI!

I read about this place a while back and was really looking forward to trying the burgers during my visit to Athens. The burger was decent, but the service was not good at all. The gentleman who cooks the food was not interested in conversation and was quite short while we were ordering. Bad day? Maybe, but definitely not going back.

Great fresh burger. Just passing thru. Nothing else around that we know of so gave it a try. Next ti.e we will wait till we get there to eat. It was that good.

Bob is lacking in manners & customer service! He is rude and hateful! I’ve been to the Burger Barn numerous times to purchase lunch and had a horrible experience every time. He doesn’t let you start ordering before he starts huffing and puffing and complaining that you are there to buy food. He hates customers. And he has no problem letting you know it. I’ve never met a more unfriendly business owner! Yes! His burgers are delicious. And the price is reasonable. But his attitude makes it very much not worth it! I would rather starve to death then to have to go to the Burger Barn! Zero stars!!!

Best burgers you can get locally! Love this place! The owner is always so nice to me. Had a nice little chat today. Y’all, he’s one man and he’s always busy. If he doesn’t chat it up with you, it’s because he’s busy. He’s trying not to mess your order or anyone else’s up. We will always go back as long as we live here! ✌ ❤️
