We sat down and it took over an hour just to get our drinks, and the same amount of time to finally see our meals. For the first hour, there was only one waitress trying to handle the entire restaurant by herself. She was clearly overwhelmed, and while I feel for her, it’s hard to enjoy a night out when you’re sitting with empty glasses for that long.
A second server finally showed up about an hour after we arrived, but by then, the rhythm of the evening was already ruined. If you aren’t in a rush and don’t mind waiting a literal hour for a glass of water or your entree, the food is worth it—but for us, the lack of staffing made it a one-time visit.
For entres I had the beef cartoccio which was also lovely. My family ordered the shrimp and chicken Alfredo’s which were solid and the Stradella pizza. If you come here I would recommend going for their pastas over their pizza.
The atmosphere and service were delightful. Overall if you want a “low key” Italian spot this is worth your time to give it a shot.
My wife had the pesto pasta with chicken. And I had the NY strip steak. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. We wanted to finish but we decided to try the tiramisu. We weren’t disappointed. Well, we have great leftovers for sure.
We’ll definitely be back. Most definitely.
about 25-30 minutes to get food even with the one other group there.
I ordered the “lasagna” which was quite awful. It was a lasagna soup basically. Had way too much cheese and sauce and barely any noodles. It also had HAM, which I felt was insane to have in lasagna.
I will say the bruschetta pomodora was delicious though. I typically don’t like it.
The bathroom was quite spacious, interesting vibe though. I didn’t like how low the sink and the soap dispenser was. The paper towels dispensed way too little.
The kids liked their pizza too, so we were glad for that!
We also tried all 3 types of bruschetta – leek, pomodoro (tomato/traditional), and mushroom. All super good. The leek might’ve been my favorite, it’s similar to a spinach artichoke type of flavor/ texture. Then we got dessert to go – cannolis and tiramisu.
Really, hats off to everyone who helped us tonight. It was busy and they handled everything with care. We will be back – actually my mom might be coming back tomorrow for some dessert
Oh! And the pricing is very reasonable, which is a nice bonus for authentic Italian.
