Aesthetically everything looks amazing, but the waffles were extremely dry with no flavor and came served with sopping collard greens on top of the waffle. This was odd and made the waffle soggy in the middle. The fried chicken was average. I enjoyed the cocktails and the atmosphere and would maybe come back for drinks in the future but definitely not for food. There are too many local diners with twice the food quality at half the price.
Food was good, biscuits a bit on the chewy side. I ordered a pineapple juice but had to ask for their non-alcohol options as they were not clearly written on the menu.
I would come here again with a date I wanted to impress.
The fried chicken was good, but honestly everything else wasn’t up to par for the price. For the chicken I’d give it an 8/10, well seasoned, fried well.
We got the miso hot honey sauce for dipping and we only got one small 2oz ramekin for an entire bucket of chicken, I was expecting a lot more sauce. We paid an extra dollar to try the brown butter mayo, and again it was only 2oz.
We didn’t like either sauce. The miso hot honey didn’t have any hot honey flavor, it was way too strong on the miso and it was water thin.
The brown butter mayo was okay, but truly just rated like mayo mixed with butter, I expected some seasoning and more flavor.
The biscuits were absolutely HORRIBLE, I don’t know how they even call them biscuits because they were not. I was expecting amazing flaky, buttery biscuits but they were more like rolls. They were super super rock hard, and tasted more like French bread than biscuits. There was no flavor to them whatsoever and they didn’t even have the texture of a biscuit. The canned biscuits are better than these and I truly think they should change the name to hard rolls instead of biscuits. Worst “biscuits” I’ve ever had in my life tbh.
Then we got a size of green beans, the flavor was good but they were complete mush. No snap to them at all, they tasted canned.
We also got the cinnamon bread pudding and it was good, but they put the ice cream in the bag with the hot food and by the time we got home it was so melted we didn’t even know it was supposed to be ice cream until we tasted it.
Overall if it wasn’t for the chicken being decent I’d rate everything else 3/10. I think either this place is a gimmick or maybe they had a bad day… but there are SO many amazing places to get fried chicken in Baltimore it just doesn’t stack up.
Still was a delightful meal though. Good vibes here.
The hostess was fantastic and helped us set up the surprise for our birthday girl with ease. Our server, Mckenna, was outstanding. She was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
The food was good and the drinks were great. The only thing we felt could be improved was the seasoning on the chicken. Aside from that, everything else was enjoyable. The atmosphere was fun, parking was simple, and the prices were very reasonable.
We had a great time and would happily come back again.
Bunny’s is in the Fells Point area of the city right off the water. It’s a cute vibrant restaurant located right on the corner with outdoor patio seating and a full indoor dining area, bar, and second floor seating. We did make a reservation (which I would suggest) however if you get there early enough (between 10:00am – 10:30am) you should be able to get seated at a table or the bar.
The staff there are very friendly and have great energy. The two hostess even offered us suggestions and their faves from the menu. Our server Jess was also very helpful and attentive during our time there.
As far as food, we started off with a classic mimosa & paired it with the cinnamon bun which was delicious. Soft on the inside with a nice crust & the perfect creamy frosting with a hint of citrus. We were told they have a pastry chef in house so everything is made fresh (buns, biscuits, pastries). For our entrees we ordered the biscuits & gravy and “The Bunny’s Benny.” These were the perfect savory dishes! The sausage gravy was creamy, seasoned well, & had a hint of spice. The hollandaise sauce was sweet with a twang which paired well with the tomato jam and egg (I had mine scrambled). I ordered it with a side of the miso hot honey for chicken bites .. so good! Both dishes were large portions so if you wanted to share you could or plan to have some for leftovers.
We also got to meet Ron, who’s the general manager. Very nice man, attentive to his guest, and welcoming personality. Overall we had a great experience 10/10 and will definitely be back!
