My brother and I ordered 2 baseline double patty combos with seasoned fries and Pepsi, 2 yard burger sandwiches, 3 chicken sliders and 2 seasoned fries.
The burgers were only single patties but we were charged for a single and 2 of the fries were not in the bag. We had to ask for the fries which we were given promptly but when we got home is when we realized the patties were singles and that they were cooked so well done that we gave them to the dogs. The burger seemed like it had been cooked and then cooked again. The yard burger was very flavorful but bun was very dry and the meat portion was very small, the chicken was gone but had about a 1/3 of a bun left. The seasoned fries were excellent and I would go back but just for the fries. Maybe it was just a bad day but I would be very cautious about choosing this establishment for their burgers and check your food before leaving the drive through.
I will say their parking is kinda confusing when you’re trying to leave but not go through the drive thru tho
Tonight I ordered two burger combo meals and there were 2 cars in front of me in the drive thru. I waited approximately 12 minutes. (That’s fine, I don’t mind waiting). I then paid $32 (That’s fine, if the food is good). I then received 2 hastily wrapped burgers that somehow were “squished” under the fries on top. On a positive note; the fries were good!
I am a process engineer and here is some free advice: 1/ standardize how the burgers are made and how the work area flows; obviously burgers are your core business, so this is important. 2/ Use boxes for your burgers like every fast food chain does for their “high end” burgers. 3/ Measure your time to window; you can’t fix what you can’t see. 4/ Train and retrain staff regularly (the food was so great when you first opened).
You HAVE to do better than McDonald’s. People expect better from a local burger joint.
Had a baseline combo, double baseline combo & chicken slider and onion rings. Burgers and fries were good. Onion rings were alright.
I cannot give a higher rating because of the 1 issue.
The chicken slider wasn’t cooked.
Normally a chicken slider wouldn’t even be cut in half but with it being our first time here we had a hard time deciding between chicken and burgers. Settled on burgers & we cut the slider in half so each could have a taste, and thankfully so.
This is not the place to go!
I ordered the bunkhouse bird, it also can come Nashville style. The sauce was good but that was about it. The bird is small for a sandwich but it does have a nice price point that fits the size. The bun was not warm or toasted and the chicken was overly cooked. The bird was dark and crispy and hard to bite in some places. I ordered the onion rings as a side, they are massive. Only 5 came in my order but that was more than enough. I think I will be sick from the about of grease that was on them. I did not like the hard batter, a soft breaded batter would be much better.
Let’s end a positive note, the staff was very friendly. And for the warm months in Michigan, there is a nice size patio to dine at.
