I ordered an appetizer that I love from there and the bartender and I even talked about it for a minute or two…when I was leaving with my takeout order I counted the boxes and checked my receipt and realized he never put it on the order. We had been told the wings were the best around. There was very little sauce on them. Chunks were amazing though. Teriyaki sauce was delicious. Bartender was friendly and got me a drink while I waited. Just was really looking forward to the po Anna app!

Came in for brunch as the brunch menu is tempting. Although no longer served. However our timing was good for lunch at 11am. We had Traci as a server and she was friendly thorough and efficient. Everything you could ask for in a sefver. She even bagged up our leftovers for us. I got the yummy chunks again with Teryaki. They really do have a nice breading. The Poe Anna was worth the wait and as delicious as I recall from years ago. My boyfriend’s 12″pizza was good with his toppings of choice.

Absolutely repulsive experience.
I went in for lunch and ordered the chicken chunks. After a few bites, I pulled one up and found hair literally cooked into the breading.
We showed the waitress, and while she did take the item off the bill, that is where the service ended.
* She offered zero apologies.
* She didn’t offer to remake the food.
* She completely blew off the situation as if serving contaminated food was normal.
Taking the item off the bill is the absolute bare minimum requirement when you serve inedible food. It does not make up for the lack of basic hygiene or the waitress’s horrible attitude. We never saw a manager, and the lack of concern from the staff was shocking.
If this is the quality of food leaving the kitchen, I strongly recommend finding another place to eat.

We’ve been going to Bunkers for well over a decade, great local place to gather with friends. Staff is always friendly and on top of things. Traditional Philly Cheesesteak is my favorite, but love their chunks, and chicken fried salad as well. Tiffany is one of our favorite servers, and Teresa is always friendly walking around checking on her customers and talking with them. If you’re looking for a place to watch the “games”, or just have an evening out at a place that has great food, with plenty of beers on tap, and great service I would recommend going here!!

5 stars in the category of busy sports bar. This is not an elite dining experience but it nails this category. We sat at the bar top. People did have their kids at tables.
Pros:
Busy sports bar atmosphere with lots of tvs.
Bar food .
Friendly staff that remains so even under pressure
Large beer selection with around 40 different drafts including specialty beer
Real ranch dressing that doesn’t taste like cancer
Specific cons:
Not sure who said they like the wings… clearly someone who likes breaded wings. If you are a wing purist might not be your jam even if you get the “naked” option but not terrible.
Iceberg lettuce in salad (see above, bar food).
Chili was tasty but not classic.
Music overhead not sports, could be a pro or con depending.
Overall great experience if you’re looking for a place as I’ve described above.

My husband and I have been going to Bunkers for years. The menu has a good variety to choose from and the beer choices can’t be beat. What keeps us coming back is not only the food/drink options but the staff. There are so many nice waitresses but Holly can’t be beat when it comes to service, friendliness and personality! She definitely gets five stars from me!

My husband and I have been coming to Bunkers since we moved to Vandalia over 13 years ago. Service has always been awesome. Everyone is so easy to talk to. The wings, pizza, and cheesesteaks are great! Great watering hole with great people.

Really great local spot with great food at good prices. Beer list is extensive and service is pretty quick. It can get very busy and have had to find somewhere else to eat after walking in and finding that all of the tables were reserved. I would recommend calling if you have a big party (6+).

This is our favorite place to go! The food is great, we try to get something we haven’t had before and never disappointed. Megan is amazing, she always goes above to make sure we have everything, even before we ask!!! Definitely recommend!!!
