It’s about as typical of a Vietnamese place as you can get. The one thing was that the service was actually really good. Server was very friendly and attentive. Not at all normal for Vietnamese.
Bun bo hue was only fair. Grilled pork was a bit sweet for my liking and could use a bit more char. Vietnamese coffee was good.
Pricing is typical.

The bun cha ca ha noi and bun mam are both very flavorful and plentiful. Decent amount of herbs and veggies with the dishes. Will return again to try other dishes

This is one of the standard Vietnamese restaurants in our family’s rotation. It doesn’t have a large menu, but it does most things well, though don’t expect any pho noodle soup — go to a pho restaurant for that.

The food here is legit good. I don’t know why this place isn’t more popping. I’m Vietnamese and took my mom here and she enjoyed the heck out of the food. My mom actually ate her entire plate which is rare for my persnickety 70+ mom. I would 100% recommend.

Among the worst Bún Bò Huế. If anyone has ever eaten Bun Bo in Hue, they can tell you that this is not the authentic Bun Bo Hue. The soup is quite salty and oily. They use too much minced lemongrass. The authentic bun bo Hue never uses minced lemongrass to make the broth because it is very difficult to eat. The soup has a strong taste of fermented shrimp paste which is quite difficult for some people.

Huynh Dining is our current favorite Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose. The grilled porkchop is among the best I’ve ever had, juicy and full of flavor. We also love the banh ram it, which comes with an addicting fish sauce. The bun mam is also a big hit. Make sure to add some extra sate and shrimp paste for more flavor. Service is great as well. Can’t ask for a better dining experience!

Fast and attentive service. I had the bun mam. It was sweet, I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be a more savory soup. I liked it though. The mix of fish, squid, and pork had a nice textural contrast. Bathroom was really clean,

I started my meal with the iconic Vietnamese spring rolls, which were incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. The delicate balance of textures and the accompanying dipping sauce enhanced the experience, making it a perfect appetizer. Next, I delved into a hearty bowl of Bún Bò Geò Heo, a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup. the rice noodles were cooked just right. The tender slices of beef, pork and the medley of fresh herbs provided a delightful combination of flavors that left me craving for more.
The staff provided outstanding service, making my dining experience all the more enjoyable .
