Bun Bo Hue (Beef Noodle) is the best in SoCal. They give you a lot of vegetables. Rich broth delicious. Their cockle is really good, especially Sichuan cockles

We got highly recommended this place by friends and family. We were so excited when we came to LA. First, location is really difficult to find, we drove 3 rounds and Finally found the restaurant. They shared the ownership with another Coffee shop I think so you would barely see the sign from distance. The tables with high chairs are not comfortable especially when you are going with the little ones. We ordered Bun Bo Hue Mo Lan which likes a combination topping with pork slices and beefs. The soup is not too spicy. But honestly it’s not my preferable place. I think it’s good, nothing standing out.

Idk why everyone recommended this place for Bun Bo tho? Was is good? Yes it was but it wasn’t that flavor or the smell of Bun Bo, like that broth for different dishes . Salty and oily, I had to add 2 slice of limes to rebalance the taste…but at least the bone marrow bowl was good hehee

Had the bun bo hue and the bone marrow here! Huge portion for a good price! Bone marrow was $4.99 and I got 3 pieces of bones filled with delicious marrow. Service was fast and attentive. I hear others say that the broth is salty but I find it pretty flavorful. You can use the veggies and lime to balance it out. I’ll be back again!

I heard that Mo Lan is back and expected to be even better than before, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered two bowls of bun bo hue without pork blood, but when I opened my order, I found two slices of pork spam, three slices of beef shank, and one pork foot. The pork foot wasn’t tender and still had a lot of hair on the skin, which really should be cleaned properly. I believe most people wouldn’t want to eat that when they see it. Additionally, since it’s called bun bo, I expected more beef than other ingredients. The only highlight was the veggies, which I appreciated.

Tasty, but gave me stomachache afterwards. May be there were too much msg in the broth…? The broth sure tastes very VERY umami and delicious. But I’d say skip it if you are sensitive to MSG.

Restaurant only serve Bún Bò Huế during the day. Broth is very light, flavorful aromatic of lemongrass. Great variety of meat in the bowl. Lots of variety of fresh vegetable, shaved cabbages, banana flower, mint, Vietnamese coriander. Good size bowl at a reasonably price. Great great price for quality food.

Decent taste but portion left me wanting more. Bun bo is southern vietnam taste (sweeter side). They don’t seem to sub omitted ingredients with meat (eg no pork hock but no extra meat) so omitting anything makes the portion look small. Plenty of tables. Condiment bottles and floor look clean.
