2016-02-24 – this had been on my list to try and decided to check it out as I didn’t feel like cooking. Was still happy hour so I tried their wings, cheese curds, bull’s horn burger and their secret menu chicken fries which are fries with the chicken seasoning. Everything was really tasty, I would probably skip the chicken fries and just get regular fries next time. Buffalo sauce on the wings was a sweet heat rather than just hot. Burger was good, I like a thinner burger so it was right up my alley. Happy we finally checked it out.

Bull’s Horn is exactly what you want on a Friday night after a long week: burgers, beer, and dive bar vibes. Most recently, we happened to be in when the restaurant held a Boch Poking event, swirling a hot poker in a Schell’s Boch to caramelized the flavor, create a foamy head and it was charming good clean fun. Try the baked beans—tangy, sweet and a thoughtful alt to French fries.

Bartenders were not attentive at all. Even when they saw that myself & friend were in need of another drink or clearing away of or meal dishes, they took a LONG TIME to service us again.

We planned to go when they opened at 4pm. Walked in at 4:07pm and it was already limited seating available., except for 4 scattered chairs at the bar (we were able to piece 2 together for us easily). We ordered 2 simple cocktails before ordering food. Looked list most ppl ordered different kinds of craft beer. Will.try next time.
We originally went there for the handmade dill pickle battered fried chicken, but after seeing other items come out, we decided on something safer (Just in case we didnt like it). We got the chicken strip basket (which comes with enough fries for 2). The tenders were hands down the best weve ever had, large pieces with a great batter and crunch, yet juicy on the inside. We chose the white sauce for dipping. A hint of heat and vinegar, absolutely DELISHIOUS. We also ordered the 8 piece dry rub wings with blue cheese for dipping sauce. The wings had an excellent coating of flavorful seasoning , they were also cooked perfectly, meat was juicy and tender. Their blue cheese is also the real deal, full of real blue cheese chunks, just like the pictures in the menu. Will be going back for the pickle battered fried chicken in a bucket real soon! Its a dive bar, some chairs are wobbly and/ ripped. The customers are friendly as we spoke to a few sitting beside us at the bar. Very “neighborhood” feeling. Our bartender wasnt the friendliest, probably just his personality., but he did his job. The next shift came and she definitely was friendly, quicker and more attentive.
They dont open until 4. Parking lot is small, there’s limited street parking since its in the middle of the neighborhood and you cant park in bus stops. Waiting time will vary, they will put you on a list. Capacity is 75. Hope this helps!

Wow, that was a truly fantastic burger experience! While the meat itself wasn’t the highest quality cut, the kitchen team clearly knows exactly how to handle it. The patty was perfectly seasoned and cooked to an ideal crispiness on the outside, achieving that signature ‘smash’ texture that makes these burgers so special.
The bun was wonderfully soft and held everything together without becoming soggy, and I appreciated the generous portion of toppings which helped mask the leanness of the beef and complemented the flavors beautifully. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures. I’d absolutely recommend trying one—it’s a great example of how excellent technique can turn simple ingredients into a truly satisfying meal.

Bulls Horn is the best kind of neighborhood bar. Unassuming from the outside, but punches way above its weight class. The food is some of the best in the city. The fried chicken is dill pickle brined and fries to perfection. The house made fried bologna and cheese is just about perfect. The real winner though, are the smash burgers. It’s one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever heard. Crispy edges, melty house made American cheese and super crispy bacon. The perfect balance of greasy, meaty, salty and melty. They only have a handful of taps but they always have good local breweries on tap.

They always have pull tabs and have a Meat Raffle on Wednesday. Well worth bringing cash to play and coming home with a nice roast.

One of the better burgers around. Everything on the menu is good. It’s a no frills, high- quality dive bar.

One note on the dill fried chicken: it is a ton of food, it’s really tasty, it’s piping hot and fresh. But it’s actually best when you have let it cool for a long time—so you as a customer might want to reserve this for to-go orders or if you’re gonna be at the bar with friends for an hour or more. In my opinion, when the chicken cools to normal temp. —You really taste the dill in both the chicken and batter and it’s even better! Just a minor observation.

I love Bulls Horn—great for kids too. Great patio in summer as well.

Love this place! Probably best burger and chicken sandwich I’ve ever tasted. The burger was a bit too salty, but still sooo good! The chicken sandwich was dark meat, which was very surprising and flavorful. The servers were very nice. Everything arrived super fast.
