We are a local veteran, husband and wife, owned southern style BBQ place. We strive to have the freshest of product, so much so we don’t even own a freezer to ensure we are not cheating the customer out of the best quality in the area! Don’t let the sassy decor deture you, we are actually pretty nice in person. We don’t believe in pre-made foods here so everything is made from scratch, including our housemade BBQ sauses.

Absolutely amazing food! Everything here is made here or at least seemed that way! As a BBQ snob this place met my expectations. My only complaint was the bbq sauce. I wasn’t fond of it but could have been the batch… the Carolina Gold was amazing though! Out door seating only but totally worth it!

They fed us and took car of our hungry 12-person team for a reasonable price and very short wait, especially considering the quantity of food and accommodations we required. The atmosphere was great, we sat outside and enjoyed beautiful spring weather. The food was the best BBQ I believe I’ve ever had in my life (and I’ve been around). The brisket amd pulled pork were world-class, and the sides were excellent too. I especially enjoyed the light and spicy pickle slices. My favorite house sauce was the Carolina Gold. I hope to make it back here someday.

Holy cow, this place was AMAZING. We travel all over for work and have had our fair share of amazing craft BBQ in Texas and this hidden gem is definitely in our top 2. Love that this is a veteran-owned business as a veteran myself and they offer a very generous discount. The brisket was so delicious and the sides were just as good, especially the Mac & cheese and pickles. We have been telling all of our other storm chaser friends about this BBQ joint. We Loved sitting outside and listening to the good tunes they were playing. A young man was very hard at work keeping the seating area clean and tidy. I can’t wait to come back to Valentine to eat again!

Fantastic lunch stop!!! Driving through the area and decided to stop for a quick lunch. Food was fantastic. Get the slaw! Even my picky self really liked the food! Super clean outdoor dining area with big fans. Highly recommend the sliders too!

Stopped for lunch as we head back to Texas. Great barbecue! We had brisket sliders and pulled pork over Mac and cheese. The pickles are delicious, too! Great stop!!

Very cool place! The vibes are immaculate. Great music, dog friendly, DELICIOUS brisket and sides. The staff were extremely friendly too and helped me pick through the menu.10/10 will eat here and bring more friends and family!
