Best bacon cheeseburger I’ve ever had in my 45 years! Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious! My wife had the fried chicken sandwich and loved it! Portions were perfect, service was excellent and environment was great!

It’s alright. Out of many restaurants in the area, this one does not stand out as unique or special.
It does have Guiness on tap, so there’s that and flights of rum, bourbon and till-kill-ya.

Great atmosphere and the staff seemed nice. Food was the issue. We got the fish and chips. Whipped potatoes, spinach and artichoke dip and broccoli and cheese soup.

Fish and chips are best described as ok. The fish seemed mostly fine but some of the fish seemed undercooked. The fries were good.

The dip was not melted all the way thru and very garlicy. We love artichoke dip but left a lot on this occasion. Even the bread for the dip was off. It tasted like 2 day old bread thrown into the oven for a crisp, but still not getting crispy.

The whipped potatoes looked like they were riced and just put in a bowl. No flavor at all. No butter, no cream, no salt, just nothing. The soup is probably whatever generic #10 tin can soup they get.

Stopped for drinks after walking around for a couple of hours and loved the place. We sat outside and it was very nice. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for service was because the service was slow. The girls was very nice. Its could have been they were short handed i don’t know.

If you need to grab a quick meal on St. George Street, this is a good option. Majority of the seating is outside on a deck right on St. George Street. A lot of UK dishes like Shepherd’s Pie, Banger and Mash, and Fish and Chips.

Excellent food and service. Dining inside or out. I had the Shepards Pie and it was delicious. My husband ordered the large burger and fries and was happy with his meal. For the area, the food was average in price. We will probably go there again.

The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich was mediocre at best. I don’t normally leave reviews but this one made me want to speak up. Starting with the buns, either they cooked the buns with he chicken or they were sitting on the shelf for too long because they were just as crunchy as the fried chicken and disintegrated at the touch. Then there was one small tomato and pickle right into the middle of this $16 sandwich. Just one lol
Service was good enough but for a restaurant with 30% occupancy at the time I sat for too long waiting for my food.

TOURIST TRAP

WARNING, please don’t eat here unless you’d like to pay restaurant prices for school cafeteria quality food. If I could give one star, I would. This place is the epitome of a tourist trap. Got the ham sandwich which is supposed to come with onion apple jam, it did not. There was a small slice of grocery store ham and a single Kraft slice of cheese. This reminded me of a sandwich you’d get off the children’s menu. You pay restaurant prices for less than diner quality food. My wife got a burger which was on a stale bun and overdone patty. We’ve had a bad dining experience here before, but since it’s convenient and right in the middle of st. George street thought we’d try it again, bad idea. Just a truly Crappy place. Staff is not great either.

I wish I could give more stars for the food quality. I didn’t have any true expectations but the crowd outside of Bull and Crown Publick House led me to try them out and I was NOT disappointed.

I had the salmon blt and raved about how good it was. My waiter took the time to explain the smoking and chilling process to me – he was so kind.

Will definitely return.

The best service I have had at a restaurant in a very long time! The staff works together so well and they all help one another out which made our dining experience an even better one. Service like that tells you that they truly care about their customer’s experience. And the food was delicious! We had the wings, Mac and cheese, and ordered pot pies Togo for our dinner the next night. I would definitely recommend coming here next time you’re in the St. Augustine area.
