Excellent food! I had the crunchy sweet and sour fish (swai) which is a mild white fish. We also tried the steamed dumplings but ate the before I could take a photo. The owner was our waiter and made sure we had a smooth meal. Will be back soon.

The food was incredible. Our dishes (beef pho, beef rice noodle stir fry, spring rolls, pickled radish, and Thai tea) were all incredibly tasty. The sauces (which are all made in house) were great too. The owner was nice and attentive. Food came very quickly too. Overall recommend.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at here! Their traditional pho was incredible—rich, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by their homemade chili paste, which added just the right kick. I also tried the egg drop soup, which was warm, comforting, and delicious. To top off the meal, we had their chocolate cake, and wow—it was light, airy, and packed with flavor.
Our server, Steven, who is also the owner, truly made the experience exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations while staying attentive throughout the meal. He ensured our water glasses were always full and checked in with us just the right amount.

This place may seem a bit unassuming at first glance, but it truly offers a culinary adventure that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. The exceptionally helpful waiter explained the menu options in a mouthwatering way, making it hard to choose!
The highlight, of course, was the food. The fresh rolls we had for starters were flavorful and fresh, setting a great tone for the meal. The main course was equally authentic; the Bun Bo Hue was delicious. While I hoped for a spicier noodle dish, the provided chili sauce did the trick perfectly.
The standout, however, was the Tofu Lemongrass Curry. Wow. This dish was a fantastic, flavorful vegetarian option. The curry was authentic, and the lemongrass flavor made it truly exceptional.
Overall, Bui Vietnamese Restaurant offers an amazing dining experience that I would highly recommend.

Great little gem in Branford for very authentic Vietnamese food. And very energetic wait staff. Food was delicious across the board (we were five people) and my pho special was amazing. Hours are funky if you want sit down service. Take out has more accessible hours.

Please don’t make the same mistake I did! I came here on a Tuesday, hungry and with a craving for Pho but apparently their dining room is closed on Tuesday’s. Assuming that it would be quick, I ordered take-out, my order was a small chicken pho, summer rolls and a bahn mi. It took them 50 minutes to have my order ready… even though there was only one other person there picking up food within that time frame. I was so disappointed that it took so long, if I had known that would be the case, I would have gone somewhere else. What’s worse is that once I got home and mixed the noodles and broth, the noodles were hard and I had to wait another 15 minutes for the soup to warm up… so just overall a frustrating experience, especially for the price.
