Wonderful, wonderful Cuban bakery. Just like I experienced in Miami. Great baked goods, sandwiches and Cuban coffees!! Super friendly and efficient service. We had a guava and cream cheese pastelitos, cortadito, key lime pie and a Diet Coke. We’ll worth a drive from anywhere. This bakery was recently recognized for their excellence. A few seats on and out to enjoy your purchases, but most people come and leave with boxes full of goodies. Limited hours so check the hours before you leave.

Came here on a Saturday morning at 0930. There was a line but it was only about a 15 minute wait. I was looking forward to trying the empanadas and pastelitos, but I didn’t think it was as good as the ones I had in Miami. The spinach and cheese empanada filling was very salty. The food was very pricey too. I bought a box of empanadas and guava pastelitos and it was $50. The guava pastry was a bit dry and very crumbly. Overall, if you are curious to try the food, do come, but as for me personally, I won’t return. The food is just ok and wasn’t worth the high costs. I didn’t try the coffee but my friend said it was good.

I just have to say, WOW! My husband and I just had an amazing lunch. We’ve had Miami’s best, however this for Atlanta was really good! Will be coming back very soon. The food, the service, and location were spot on. The only complaint I have is they run out of everything early, so go early to get the best in Atlanta. We couldn’t wait to eat them.

This bakery/cafe is EXCELLENT!!! The most delicious & authentic empanadas & cuban coffee I have had in 19 years! It was so good that after I finished my meal, I got back in line and ordered a larger Cuban coffee & a chicken croqueta! I will be back to try their Cuban sandwich & other options & pastries. Their desserts looked amazing so of course I will be trying them next time!

Very good. Expensive. The empanadas were sold out. But came for their pastelitos. The cream cheese was flaky, crunchy, creamy, warmed and delicious. But $3?! It’s Georgia and no Cuban bakeries so…

Absolutely delicious! I come here multiple times during the week and it never disappoints! Moving from south Florida, this gives me that perfect Cuban coffee and ham croqueta fix that is rare to find in Atlanta!!

This rating has nothing to do with their food. It’s probably really good, there were plenty of people there. The rating is based on the disappointment of not being able to try their food, but mostly the reason why. I went to “buena gente” to get a Cuban sandwich based on reviews, I stood in line, and when my turn came, I asked for a Cuban sandwich without mustard, I was told they couldn’t make it without the mustard, I explained that I’m allergic to mustard, and asked why couldn’t they just not put mustard in it, she replied that’s they way it’s done. I’ve been to dozens of places to eat Cuban sandwiches, and this is the first time someone has refused to not put mustard in my sandwich. Oh well, I figured not buying a sandwich from them doesn’t make any difference. They don’t need my business since they seem to do pretty well. They can afford not to care about “small” things as allergies from a potential customer.

As a former Miamian, I’m always on the hunt for authentic Cuban food. Buena Gente WAS EVERYTHING I HOPED IT WOULD BE!! Unfortunately, we arrived too late for pastelitos, but we got freshly made medianoches. Amazing!! Be for you go, check the hours because they’re not open every day. And be aware that they sell out of their baked goods rather quick. I definitely will be back!!!
