This was our first time visiting Buddy’s Pizza on Allen Road in Woodhaven, and overall it was a great experience. We ordered the Greek Town Pizza, which was superbly delicious. My daughter had the bacon cheeseburger, which was also quite tasty. My little guy ordered the Hawaiian pizza, but we didn’t realize it came with barbecue sauce, and we don’t have a high tolerance for spice.
My son politely asked the server if it was supposed to come with barbecue sauce, and without hesitation, they replaced the pizza for free. We were especially grateful for Falon, who immediately catered to our specific needs at no extra charge. She was very polite and attentive, which truly made the experience awesome.
The restaurant felt newer and less broken-in compared to the original Buddy’s or the Dearborn location we usually go to, but the kindness and customer service here were a definite plus. We really appreciated the experience and will be back.

Mediterranean pizza was out of this world! The wings were good, fries were crispy, everything looked and tasted fresh.
The restaurant was clean and not too loud.
Our server Holly was attentive and pleasant. I’ll come back next time I’m in town!

We were in town for a concert and a coworker who is from Detroit recommended Buddy’s pizza. Top recommendation ever as far as I’m concerned! The Allen Road location felt like it was pretty new. The decor was really nice. Clean restrooms. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Really good Detroit-style pizza. The crust is airy and a little crispy, and the cheese also crisps on the edges. Had heard that this style of pizza was really good, and still it exceeded my expectations. We stopped by on a road trip for lunch. The restaurant is pleasant to be in and I imagine it is very lively at dinner and through the evenings with spacious dining and bar areas.

We had the greek town pizza, and it was amazing. It is probably one of my favorite pizzas there. They do it very well. It’s very delicious a few different kinds of cheese. The feta cheese really brings out all the flavors as well. The people there are very nice but what it is. If the price is reasonable, very kind.And I don’t, there’s nothing there, that’s bad, it’s a very high quality pizza place and the quality has not gone down.

Pricing for me seemed very fair for the environment and the quality of pizza. I’m not from Detroit though and that was my first attempt at Detroit style pizza in Detroit. The crust was excellent with a nice crunch to it.
I think the pizza itself could be 5 stars but the toppings for me wasn’t ideal. My friend chose the pizza. The ratio of dough to topping was excellent.
Parking was available in a medium sized shared lot.

Winter Reverie
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I found myself in need of nourishment and while driving, I was craving something different. Something new. And that was when I found Buddy’s.
I decided to dine and their precautions in lieu of the pandemic was great. Customer service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was chill.
The chicken didn’t give me anything to rant or rave about and the raspberry tea was cool addition that came together nicely.
The Detroiter didn’t stand out like I thought it would. It sounded delicious. Wisconsin brick cheese was something I hadn’t had before was curious if would be able to taste the different. Sadly, I couldn’t and it ended up.just being four slices of regular pizza to me. Which by no means was bad, but do anything stand out.
And for the price, one could expect more.
I am going back though. I am determined to find out which of pizza is their original detroit style pizza staple. Buddy’s is a cool place to grab a bite if pizza is what you want and Detroit is the style.

Best Detroit style pizza! The restaurant is large and clean. Love the inner decor. The service was fast. The waitress was really kind and friendly. The prices correspond to the quality of the food. The menu had a wide variety starting from appetizers, salads, pizzas, pastas, burgers etc. I would recommend you make a reservation before you go, especially if it’s the weekend.
