I asked to add pepperoni to my pizza. They made sure to charge me but no pepperoni. Also the chicken tenders I got were the worst ever. You can smell the burned old grease they cook with soon as you open the carry out container the quantity and quality are terrible. I passed a bunch of pizza places just to go try this place for the first time and the disappointment is on another level especially with the popular opinion of this being the best pizza in Detroit. I’ll stick to hungry howies. Especially at these prices. Again $15 for chicken tenders that look like this

When I tell you this place has delicious wings and smash burger believe me nobody can top this back home in pa. By far the best and the size of these wings are huge! Definitely not disappointed. If I am ever back in the area will definitely hit this spot again!!

My first experience with Buddy’s. Better than expected. Sad to read some negatives, but not us. 4x pizza with two different toppings, salad, bread sticks. They even have Detroit’s original Vernons ginger ale. Good service. Nice restaurant. Glad we went.

Classic Detroit style pizza that everyone loves. I come here when I get that crazing and this place satisfies. Consistently delivering great pizza again and again. The manager Bill is a class act that is passionate about producing great pizza and service. Make sure to say hello . Our waitress Julia was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed for a great family meal. They have a great “Taste of Summer BBQ” collaboration with Slows BBQ, both ionic landmarks in Detroit. I highly recommend the brisket or Yard Bird pizza while they have it on the menu. It’s truly one of a kind.

Incredible pizza and greek salad. Drinks were perfect too. Great staff, great atmosphere. Well worth traveling across the state to get it!

A Detroit classic in the Burbs. The same great pizza and salads in Warren. The restaurant is big enough to host a large party of family and friends but small enough to seat a table of 1. A small bar to belly up to as well with some unique drinks as well as their own labeled beer!

Today’s visit was for something other then pizza.

I’m a fan of that Buddy’s bread. Soft, doughy, buttery & plenty of Parmesan cheese. Throw in a warm cup of hot tomato bisque soup to dip it in.

Cheese sticks & Ranch were delicious. Super hot, crunchy & the cheese pull was worthy of a photograph, enjoy, we did 🙂

Sub was ok, I opted for it cold, bread was dry, should have toasted it. It’s ok, I took the goods & stuffed them in bread sticks, lol.
Potato wedges were so crunchy, I just kept dipping them in ketchup & definitely over ate on those bad boys.

Madison was so sweet, made for a smooth dining experience, as usual.

Today I had the pizza and I had the Pasta today. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with Buddy’s Pizza.

This location specifically is underwhelming and the food was absolutely ridiculous. The sauce and the pizza I had no flavor.

The pasta taste like jar pasta mix with some undercooked noodles. The meat sauce tasted very bland with a pickle juice flavor to it.

Also, we didn’t hardly have any pepperoni on our pizza or sauce on the top at all. The pizza and pasta was undercooked.

The dough on the pizza was chewy in the middle. I will not be coming back to this location at all.

Please stay away from this place if you care about your health in your taste buds. We will not be ordering from this place again.

If you have a taste for Buddy’s Pizza, you’re better off just going to the original one in Detroit or going to the frozen food section of the grocery store and making it yourself.

Whoever is making the pizza needs to be fired. They need to hire new chefs and also need to gain some better recipes to make the food taste better.

When visiting Detroit, I knew I had to try the iconic pizza the city is known for, and there’s no better place than Buddy’s, where Detroit-style pizza was originally developed. Detroit-style pizza is made in a rectangular pan, with cheese spread all the way to the edges, creating a caramelized cheese crust. I tried the Detroiter, which is made with Wisconsin brick cheese, tomato basil sauce, pepperoni, shaved Parmesan cheese, and Buddy’s spice blend. The pizza is thick and chewy, with deliciously crispy and caramelized edges. They have two pizza sizes: 4 squares, or 8 squares. I got the 4-square size, and was full after eating two squares. Highly recommend trying Buddy’s Detroit-style pizza!
