Where we come from, we do things a little differently. Our one of a kind square pies are built by hand with the best ingredients. No shortcuts, just a stubborn belief in doing things right. Overdone Toast!!!
Reason for ordering the pizza:
My spouse is recovering from a major surgical procedure & is still not ambulatory.
She had a craving for a pizza.
I selected the Buddy’s Troy location.
When I arrived for the carry out I was told that it was not yet ready. I took a seat & waited.
When the pizza came out I thought it unusual that the counter person delivered it to me & did not call me to the counter & open the box for me to view the pizza for acceptability.
Obviously she knew that it was “toast”, but chose obfuscation .
I should have checked the pizza, as the pizza, from this location has been inconsistent for over a year, but I had a long day.
As I am the sole care provider for my spouse & needed to return home.
Conclusion:
Buddy’s Pizza….NEVER AGAIN!!!

Honestly just a solid pizza. Not the biggest fan of Detroit style but the sauce was incredible, the crust was perfect, and overall it was solid. I would certainly eat this again. This place claps.

God I love deep dish pizza. EXQUISITE MOUTHFEEL. I drove in from upstate NY and this was a must for me. Deep dish pizza was a bucket list of mine from Detroit and this did not disappoint at all. I can’t wait to go back. Staff was beyond friendly. Place was super clean, like freaky clean. No problems. I can’t wait to go back and try another deep dish pizza… the cravings are real

One of the best, if not, THE BEST, pizza in America! The Henry Ford is amazing!!! The salads are good too. 2 slices are so filling! I’ve been to 2 locations, and both were perfect. I live in Las Vegas so I definitely go out of my way to go here when I’m in Detroit once a year.

First time visiting this location. Great Detroit style pizza and salads. It is not the original 6 Mile Rd. location, but still great food.

I am a Detroiter transplanted to Knoxville, TN 15+ years ago. Coming back to Detroit for a week and finding this near my hotel was a pleasant surprise. The pizza and salad are as amazing as they ever were.
My only disappointment was that no one could tell me how involved the Jacobs family or Wesley were with the business.
For me, Buddy’s is a must when in town!

This time, this trip was a destination for dinner. Knoxville to Detroit for pizza, spaghetti and meatballs. We’re taking home a cooler full of meat sauce and meatballs. I’m sure we will be back to reload our personal stash when this one runs dry……

If you’re only going to go to one place for Detroit style pizza, you won’t be disappointed at Buddy’s! The pizza was so delicious, I went back a second time in three days. Excellent service and a separate pick up area if you get it to go. Highly recommend!!
