Got the papaya salad and asked to make it thai style. Was good but the fish sauce was a bit heavy. The latd chicken was wet and never tried it like that. Going back to original roots would do wonders as thai food isn’t difficult to prepare but just need the correct ingredients

You may ask yourself, “How good could Thai food be in a place like Middletown?” and you may be surprised to hear that the answer is “Phenomenal!”
We are always impressed by the quality of food here. I’ve had my fair share of Thai food, and this ranks quite high on the leaderboard.
Highlights are definitely the roti panang, crab rangoons, and curries. Spiced and seasoned perfectly, and very hearty. The service, as well, is excellent.
I highly recommend this place, and I’m very grateful it’s a part of the restaurant roster in our humble county.

We went on a Friday night at 6pm. The service was amazing – the staff were all super nice and friendly. Overall, the food was too oily for our liking. We ordered the roti as an appetizer and it dripping with oil, probably the crispiest roti panang we’ve ever had. Every bite had oil dripping from your mouth. The red curry sauce was delicious to dip into. We also had the green curry with chicken, it was okay – little too watery we prefer the broth to be more concentrated. It did have chunks of eggplant which was nice and the chicken was good. We also had their green beans with tofu. The green beans and tofu were perfectly cooked so the texture was nice but they were drenched in an oil and an oil pooled at the bottom of the dish, we kept trying to drain the red oil off the beans and tofu before putting it on our plates.

I have been to Thailand six times and my Thai wife not only cooks Thai, but we have been to American Thai restaurants as well. This restaurant has the worst food of all of them. They don’t use fresh chilis but instead regulate the heat of the food with chili powder, which they add at the end of cooking. My food came out not hot (temperature). The waiter argued with me that it had just been cooked before he took it back and microwaved it. My wife’s food came out undercooked. We ordered brown rice, he came out with white rice, and when I said we ordered brown rice he said he would be right back with it, but instead are food cooled as we waited five to ten minutes. I left a 15% tip and felt crappy about it, not because it was a bad tip, but because it seemed like too much. After eating there I got the worst case of gas I have had in decades.

EXTREMELY HORRIBLE SERVICE AND STAFF COMMUNICATION!!!
We were a group of 7 and ordered vegetarian dishes. There was only 1 chicken dish for only 1 person. Everything else was vegetarian. We had fried basil rice with vegetables and no protein and it had chicken in it. We complained and they only said sorry and asked to pay 50%. When we talked to the manager she was very rude on the phone and when we said what if someone was allergic, she demanded a slip from doctors. When we refused to pay, she threatened us with camera recording and claimed we had eaten more than 50% of the ordered food which as shown in the photo is clearly not the case. And no one else even touched the chicken plate except for the person who ordered it. We also offered to pay the whole amount, they refused to take that as well. They weren’t accepting their mistakes but also didn’t want to accept the full payment. They threatened us with camera recording first but when we started recording she started claiming that we were harassing them. We insisted on paying the full amount but they didn’t let us and didn’t even admit their mistake.

I was really looking forward to trying this place, came in, sat down and ordered the spring rolls and tofu pad Thai with extra tofu. I was by myself enjoying a book, my appetizer arrived and a family came in and was seated next to me. As I’m reading my book and slowly eating my spring rolls I notice their food being served. I’d ment to save half of my spring rolls for later but I’d been there awhile and kept nibbling. The table next to me keeps getting food served and I’m almost through my spring rolls now and kind of wishing I could just get the check and leave but I think I hear the server asking the kitchen about my pad Thai. A little while later my server comes out and says here’s your chicken pad Thai. “I ordered tofu pad Thai with extra tofu” I say. She apologized and sent it back to the kitchen , fairly quickly my tofu pad Thai comes out and I thank her, she apologized again for the mix up and I tell her it’s no problem. I serve myself a small portion but it smells bad; it literally has a hint of rancid bird (like a bird that had been dead and gone bad!). I shouldn’t have but I taste it and it kind of tastes exactly like it smells. I think to myself that I really hope I don’t get sick and I stand up to pay and leave. They ask if I want a box (for my full nearly untouched entrée) I say no. They ask “you don’t like pad Thai?”. The restaurant is full of customers so I didn’t want to say I thought it smelled and tasted like a rancid bird so I just said that I didn’t like that pad Thai and that I think something is wrong with it, that it didn’t taste or smell right and I thought it may contain something that had gone bad. They didn’t take it off my bill, I paid, didn’t leave a tip and left. I went to a pink Mexican food place just up the street and it was amazing!
I also thought it was slightly odd that a place called Thai “Buddha” kitchen had few vegetarian options. Usually when I see restaurants associating themselves with Buddhism they are fully vegetarian.
Anyhow, I do not at all recommend this place and I will never go back. The spring rolls were good but tho I have not gotten sick yet I’m still watching as the hours pass and I’m really worried.

Great Thai place next to Harbin hot spring resort area.
The food was fresh/ spiced perfectly, and the service was quick and welcoming. Would definitely come back if I’m in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Pad thai so good it was hard not to burn the roof of my mouth by diving in too quickly. Exemplary service and presentation that goes above standard fare. Relatively affordable and good sized portions. Plenty of options with a varied, but organized menu. Artful and unique decorations, clean, and overall a good bang for your buck. Try their desserts too.

This place is really good. My favorite us their eggplant and the lamb curry meat was super tender. The sticky rice is to die for. I ordered 3 of them.

One of the best options in the small town of Middletown and the only Thai restaurant in the vicinity. It serves a lovely niche and they’re open pretty late. Not too much seating but is quite understaffed. One server was servicing the entire 10 table dining room which meant quite a long time to place orders and refills for drinks.
Food quality was not the most authentic Thai cuisine but when factoring in the remote location of the area, it delivers great flavor and the spice/sanbal on the side really helps dishes pack a punch. Prices are reasonable and the Thai tea was quite good. Parking is plentiful although you may have to park outside of the main parking lot when it gets busy.
