Took a friend out for lunch at this venue. We weren’t familiar with the Boulder area but we wanted something flavorful and healthy, so this place came up close to where we were located and it had nice reviews, so we devised to give it a try.
The venue is located in a shopping area on the end of one building. The restaurant doesn’t have a flattering curb appeal so I was hoping it would look better on the inside than the outside. Walked in , and hoped the food would make up for the atmosphere. The aesthetics of the restaurant wasn’t flattering but it is roomy and the tables and seats were clean.
The service was friendly but not chatty. We ordered a curry dish. But had to pay an extra $8 for shrimp to be added. The spicy heat level goes from 1-5 so we both chose a 2. A soup was served with it before the entree. The curry tasted much like the typical #2 in heat. A mound of rice was served next to the bowl of curry on the same oval plate. We both ordered water. I can’t say the food was impressive but it wasn’t bad either. The shrimp was a nice size and it tasted clean. The vegetables were fresh and tasted as they should. My friend hardly ate her curry but finished her soup. And I didn’t clean my plate as I usually do , and the portion amount wasn’t at all generous. I ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer. I liked the crispy flaky batter , but there was hardly any flavor to it and the dip was bland and watery. So either of us barely ate any. I will say the portion was nice. I took it home and ate it the next day and it was crispy. Reminded me of a well cooked tempura.
The bathroom was spacious and basic. The inside could use an update or the food can. I spent over $57 and only ordered water. I wasn’t impressed by the food so I won’t be a repeat customer especially at the cost of. Nothing bad to say but nothing to brag about either. Pictures pretty much tells what I think about it.

This is a hidden gem located in the north side of Boulder. The food is amazing and very well priced. Pictured is Chicken Pad Thai and Cashew Nut dishes – some of the best Pad Thai I’ve had in recent memory. Very friendly and easy going staff. Highly recommend this restaurant for a nice quaint meal Lots of parking

This is my favorite restaurant in Boulder!!!! The s tofu pad thai (spice level 2-3) is fantastic and is my comfort meal. Best Thai in Colorado. My sister and I have been going to this restaurant for over four years while at school at CU boulder. We are both Colorado natives and can’t find anything better than this place. They give huge portions (2+ meals worth in one meal) and have the kindest staff. The Thai iced tea is so good as well. Definitely check it out!!!

I had the steamed dumplings and the pad thai. The dumplings were good- soup dumpling style with a flavorful, gingery sauce. The pad Thai was disappointing- ketchupy sauce, overcooked proteins, gummy noodles. The portions were generous. The price was too high for the quality. The restaurant was empty.

Not sure if the bad reviews are just bored people or what. The papaya salad is almost as good as we’ve had in Thailand! The service is exceptional and fast with fantastic attention to customer preference and satisfaction. People that leave nasty reviews with derogatory comments about food instead of leaving a kind but dissatisfied review. Find something better to do with your time! If you want good Thai food and great service at a VERY affordable price, I recommend Buddha Thai! Cheers

To be honest they got their garlic pepper stir fried which is really awesome and so much of flavours, aromas, and balanced foods, Geniuene peoples. I would love to say to foodies and food lovers to atleast come and at least try their ” Drunken Noodles because the sauce is so amazingly marinated while cooked “.

We were looking for a Thai restaurant on our way from a long hike. We randomly came across this place and it turned out to be great. We really liked the food. They weren’t messing around with the spiciness as well. The staff was very friendly and respective.

I went out with the family and brought them to this place. The food was delicious a little spicy but the right amount of spice! I ordered the Buddha fried rice with seafood mix and that was exquisite!

Thai cuisine has always been my culinary preference, and Buddha Thai stands unrivaled among the establishments I’ve visited. The flavors here are exquisite, elevated further by impeccable service and an inviting, thoughtfully designed seating area. It’s rare for a restaurant to leave such a lasting impression, but Buddha Thai has certainly earned a place among my favorites—I look forward to returning often.
