Sonia was working the night we came in and she is AMAZING! This was my first time going into a bar and it couldn’t have been a better experience! It is super laid back and everyone we met that night was super nice. I’m normally not a social butterfly but I felt very comfortable nd had some good laughs! Thank you Sonia for everything!

No food (other than popcorn), just cheap beer right next to the coast. This is the local’s hangout and I love it. Always super nice, great people, and cheap beer. No frills at all. It’s the kind of place where “top shelf” means Smirnoff instead of aristocrat.

Little hole in the wall, dive bar. Bottled beer, no draft available and the strongest jello shots I’ve ever had for $2. Internet jukebox, pool table and locals to hand with. Worth the visit.

This is the place at Kure Beach where “everybody knows your name” and the friendships are strong. The reason for my most recent was the Retirement Party for a local guy: one of the Awesome bartenders contacted some of the regulars and we put on a great celebration! Our other Rock Star Bartender was serving Cold beer, there was music on the jukebox, shooting pool – sounds like a typical bar?. Nah- it’s better- it’s Bud&Joe’s!

This quaint, cozy bar is located only several feet from the ocean yet remains central to the Kure/Carolina Beach communities. It has remained a favorite spot for decades amongst locals and tourists wanting to hang out and have a relaxing cocktail/ watch the game/ shoot game of pool/ play trivia and more! The owners and staff are very friendly and seem to be locals themselves so they can direct you what not to miss while you’re in town!
