A Hidden Gem – So Glad We Stopped In!
We had such a great experience here. The food was flavorful and comforting — exactly what we were hoping for. The brisket was incredibly tender with just the right amount of smoke, and the pulled pork was juicy and packed with rich, savory flavor.
Everything came out fresh and hot, and the staff was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell this place takes pride in what they serve. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

The meat was good. All of the sides were disappointing.
We got brisket, shoulder, and pulled pork. All of the meat was fine. Not exceptional, but definitely better than average.
The fried green tomatoes were almost burnt. The cornbread was gritty, dry, and served pancake style. Beans, Mac and cheese, and fries were also sub par.
Service was fine, but the place was bit grubby in general and I will never, ever go back.

I really enjoyed the food and experience here at Buggy Bees. Lori, while training a new person on that day, was very friendly, attentive and courteous. We weren’t sure what to order and she explained and recommended a few dishes to us. She stopped by a few times, again with her trainee, to make sure everything is okay. Later in chatting, I learned that she also teaches. This probably explains her patience, her clarity and thoroughness which help make my experience at Bucky Bees so unforgettable.

Recommended to us by our hotel down the road. Both staff had nothing but great things to say!
We started with an order of fried green tomatoes (absolutely wonderful) and we shared a loaded King Ransom potato… unfortunately didnt get a picture of the potato but it was definitely a site to see and the flavor combination was delightful.
Our waitress was wonderful and made us feel welcomed.

Stopped at Bucky Bees for lunch and took home the leftovers for dinner, portions being that big. Hubby ordered the half rack of baby back ribs. His 2 sides were the skillet fried potatoes and white beans. I ordered the pork chops, and my sides were mixed greens and mac and cheese. We also got a cornbread pancake. Both meats were very tender and delicious, as were the sides. We took home a slice of white chocolate and raspberry cake to have for dessert tonight. Staff were very friendly, and our server was very attentive even though she was really busy.

The food was wonderful. The nachos feed at least 2 ppl, the loaded baked potato is a meal on its own and the chicken sandwich was huge. Service was impeccable and bathrooms were clean. Tables & booths are ripped up & torn, they just need to be redone or touched up.

First time visiting from out of state, read the reviews and so accurate!
I had the loaded 1lb baked potato and fried green tomatoes and couldn’t finish it all! It was very, very good. The tomatoes were awesome!
I enjoyed both sauces at the table as well.
Service was great atmosphere fun with the 60’s music.

Came in for Friday lunch. Sat right away. Server came right away for drink order. Menu isn’t large so we chose quickly. Food came out in about 5 minutes after we ordered! Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered Bucky Pie, King Ransom Potato, QueenBee Burger on Texas toast and a kids chicken nuggets. Big portions and so very good! The walls and windows have signatures of customers through the years and we got to add our names to the walls. Cute place. Excellent food and service.

Excellent food with very fast service. We almost left before even being seated because the staff walked past us at least 5 or 6 times before finally seating us. They allowed people to write on the walls, so we asked for a marker, but it was never brought to us. There was no attempt to refill our drinks or dessert offered.
All that being said, I would go back for the food because the food was great, I would not have high expectations for the service, but maybe it was just not a great day. I’m not sure.
