The building itself has character (it’s in a historic space that used to be a bank and even rumored speakeasy), which gives the whole restaurant a warm, cozy feel that’s hard to find anymore.
The food is consistently excellent. The steak butcher burger and fish tacos are standouts, and the chef specials are exactly the kind of comfort food you want after a long day. Everything tastes fresh and homemade, not like chain restaurant food. I also really like that they make their own desserts and sauces.
Service is friendly and relaxed, which makes it a great spot whether you’re meeting friends, grabbing dinner before an event in Everett, or just looking for a comfortable neighborhood restaurant.
If you live in Everett, Marysville or anywhere in Snohomish County, this is the kind of local restaurant that deserves your business. Try it once and it’ll probably become a regular spot.
My family favorites:
Artichoke dip
Fish tacos
Butcher Burger
Crispy Chicken Burger
Peanut Butter Pie
They do have steaks and seafood. We found this to be a good spot for espresso martinis as well.
Lastly, we found their banquet room a comfy and convenient spot for large parties.
The rockfish fish tacos were perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor. The mac and cheese bites were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside—total comfort food done right. To top it off, the cheesecake was rich, smooth, and a perfect sweet finish to the meal.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the relaxed vibe made it a great place to unwind and enjoy good food.
I’ll definitely be back—highly recommend this spot!
Came back next day for the King Salmon special.
The S&P Citrus Calamari was delicious and its gluten and dairy free. Possibly the best calamari I’ve had. Alaskan Halibut & Chips are perfectly cooked. Its a nice light breading and not greasy. The fries were good. The steak for my dog looks and smelled amazing. My husband reported his streak was perfectly cooked as ordered and clearly a high quality meat. I definitely recommend.
The menu was great, but our waitress showed me the special – grilled chicken with beet and horseradish sandwich, which made my choice easy!
My wife is vegetarian, and not seeing a list of vegetarian menu items, asked what was available. Wow! Our server gave a list of things that were, or could easily be, vegetarian. My wife ordered a BLT with avocado instead of bacon.
Not too long and our order appeared.
Very happy with our choices! Large sandwiches, very favorable, and obviously not made from “store bought” stuff. My chicken was an actual chicken breast cut in half, and my wife’s ALT had an avocado that looked freshly cut for the purpose.
Prices were very reasonable, the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. We were there at noon on a Wednesday, so it was lunch hour. No delays.
While waiting for our food, I looked up information about.the building, since it appears to be a very old brick building – yep! It is one of the original brick structures in Everett, with quite a history!
Great experience, and we will return soon!
I had the seafood salad, which was fresh, loaded with a variety of seafood, and came with a delicious dressing. We also enjoyed the fish and chips and finished with the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Everything was perfect.
The vibe was amazing, and Bob did a great job with the live music as usual. A huge shoutout to our server, Dakota (we saw her name on the receipt). She was so friendly and amazing with the kids while taking their orders. As soon as we got home, the kids asked if we could go back again tomorrow lol ! We will definitely be back.
Amber made sure the back room was well set up, just as requested.
She then provided attentive service over a 3+ hour period.
We are a chaotic group.
Spent the first hour and a half socializing, moving around, ordering drinks.
Amber was there when we decided it was time to order.
She took care to share details about the chicken tacos I ordered ( they’re not served hot).
They were DELICIOUS.
Based on how little was left on the other 19 plates, I’m guessing others were very satisfied.
I was feeling so festive, I had TWO pints, and was not ready to drive right away.
Amber and her other very friendly staff made sure the coffee was fresh and ice water filled as I sat at the bar, very much enjoying the live music:
A gentleman named Charlie T., who sings and plays guitar very well. Charlie played many favorites from our youth.
The overall vibe at Buck’s is warm and very welcoming.
Highly recommend!!!
