This was a pleasant surprise after a long morning on the bike. Was welcomed by a very pleasant bartender/server who was managing a lot of tables but was effective and thorough.
One thing to note – only thing available as a side with a burger/sandwich that wasn’t deep fried was cottage cheese w/strawberries. If you’re like me that needs to avoid deep-fried foods (due to the oils), just keep that in mind when stopping. That said, my burger was fan-freaking-tastic and I would absolutely stop here again if going through Heppner.

I came in, and the waitress was brash, well that’s part of tavern culture get what you expect, but she went above and beyond, by filling a pitcher of water, and placing it on my table. The curly we’re crisp, and not greasy, and the BLT was toasted, and the fillings were fresh.

Delicious food, great service, family friendly, only down fall is the 1 cook 1 server which is perfect for the town size but not when the sun goes down and it’s the only place open.

I have to say there was not much here to do but this place was great. They took on a group if 16 people, fed us great food and kept us drinking until well after midnight. Thanks to the staff for being so hospitable to all of us out of towners.

My brother and I were on a road trip and stopped here for lunch. Some of the best burgers anywhere. The patty melt was so good I wanted a second one!

When I was in town I had dinner each night there. Food takes a few minute but I am more than happy to wait for good food. I have to say I am hooked on their burgers and old school shoestring fries. They have good ice tea if your looking for something refreshing. Must give a nod to the good folks working hard to take care of the customers. I will be back to eat there again.

This place was nice to eat at before a nice drive out to the trees. The food was great. I had a bacon cheese burger with mushrooms added. The fries were perfectly crisp. Good food and nice people to start you out to a nice days drive to the mountains

My first time in. Was with my hunting party and had lunch on a mid week supply run. Fresh burgers were nices and the building held lots of history for the guys I was with. Even found their names scratched in the bathroom walls from 20 years ago.
