You need to try it. I had been sleeping on this place and I regret it.
1 lb of wings for $6. That’s a steal.
The eggplant parm was insanity good. Maybe vegetarians are actually on to something.
Sesame noodle salad might have been the best of them all. I could have just made a whole dinner of this. I need to buy it by the bucket.
I ordered it all and ate at the bar. The walnut old fashion was really good. The staff was all amazing. Everyone was so nice and the manager Courtney made me feel like I was at home.
10/10 experience.

Loved it. Great ambiance. Different food options available pizza, coffee, bakery, gelato, hot food bar. Food is good. Decent prices. Open a tab pick ur food at any of the food stalls, plenty of sitting area and close the tab by paying at checkout.

I love this market! It’s like Eataly for Portsmouth but with a local flare. Dine in, take out or purchase some specialty food items. Need to put together a gift basket? They have plenty of space. Come enjoy their cozy atmosphere and support a local merchant!

I am very pleased that another business has moved in and kept to the same style as Hearth Market. There is a bakery, small meat department , bar, restaurant and shopping ️ area . I do not know if they will be bringing back the ice-cream.
I had lunch before I found out that thiey reopened. I purchased a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate croissant to go while I looked around. My purchase tasted okay . I tried the Gluten Free P.B Protein Muffin and it was better than I expected.
You are given a tab if you are visiting the market and Cafe. You pay on your way out.
I am planning on returning and to check ✔️ out there menu.

I have been a fan of MT’s since he started his restaurant in Nashua. How serendipitous, when I told him I was moving to Portsmouth, he said he was starting Surf there!
Buckley’s Market & Cafe is another winner in his portfolio. I went in for lunch today, the selection of delicious foods was overwhelming, but after careful analysis ended up with a hefty portion of lasagna and a perfect latte (attached photo eating on front of the roaring fire). Even after all that food, I decided I needed a dessert for the road, and a wonderful server helped me navigate the pastry case, and the peppermint cream whoopi pie kept me smiling in the car up to Meredith! Although the format is similar to Hearth, the food, service, and ambiance is next level.

Very expensive for what it is, but wonderful atmosphere. Be warned it is deceiving- may look like sandwiches etc are made fresh/assembled on site but they are not. Good baked goods, but again, pricey. Seems like a nice place to come and get work done.

I spent a couple of hours this week at Buckley’s in downtown Portsmouth, as we had a very relaxed lunch. We found all of the staff very engaging and friendly. The environment is comfortable and spacious, which offers a variety of seating areas. They offer amazing looking meats, salads, chicken pot pies, coffees/teas and smoothies. We ordered paninis which were pre-made but heated upon our order. We found these sandwiches flavorful and attractive but not overly generous with fillings. One person ordered a smoothie and told us it was great. We only sampled a couple of the items from the bakery and definitely plan to return to try other items. The cakes look wonderful and would be an impressive item to bring to a gathering. The also offer brick oven pizza which I almost ordered. Between the pizza and amazing looking pastry, I have good reason to return. Prices are a little high but not out of line with other food establishments in downtown. I hoping the fireplace will be going for my next visit too….

I absolutely love the new Buckley’s Market & Cafe! I’m in here often, whether I’m grabbing a great cup of coffee or picking up a few grocery items, and it never disappoints. The assortment of products is thoughtfully curated, and everything is laid out in a way that makes shopping quick and enjoyable. Such a great addition to downtown. Highly recommend!
