Really enjoyed our meal here. It is truly family run & true southern hospitality. Portions were sizable & reasonably priced. Loved the baked potato & the sandwich’s pictured were phenomenal. The green beans were heavy on the garlic & pulled chicken could’ve been a bit warmer but still fresh!

I highly recommend stopping to eat at Honey & Oak when you’re in the area. My husband is a meat and potatoes guy and said this was the finest steak you’ll find & best one he’s had dining out since moving to Kentucky over a decade ago. I ordered the Mixed green melt (slaw & collards on rye stacked high) and it was SO GOOD!!!
If you’re traveling 65 and need a bite this is your stop.

The rest: the food was not good. This is the blandest “southern food” I have ever eaten.
We got fried green tomatoes which tasted like unsalted grease.
We said “yes” to rolls for the table… pretty sure they were microwaved? Weirdly stale/soft… just weird. At least bread is supposed to be bland.
I got a potato loaded with pulled pork. The pulled pork itself was okay – but overall it was just bland.
My husband got a grilled sub with the same meat on it. A side of grilled potatoes. Both were so very bland.
We wanted SO badly to like the food here, and this place. But damn, two days later and I can’t stop thinking of how we paid $50+ for a huge pile of bland food.

My husband and I had a date day lunch here and were very pleased. The restaurant was decorated cutely for Christmas and was very clean.
We were greeted immediately. Our server Kennedy answered all our questions and was very helpful. We ordered the family style dinner for two. We were able to pick two meats, two sides and had a serving of corn bread. The grilled chicken was so well seasoned and delicious. Our brisket was tender. The sides were chose were tasty and all the food was plentiful. We really liked the Oh honey sauce as well.
We plan on returning soon and trying different items.
