Think grandma’s country kitchen+Cracker Barrel+Cattlemen’s… and I’m here for it! I fully agree with another comment – don’t judge a book by its cover because it looks like you’re going to a camp store but you quickly walk into a western-rustic other dimension. It’s “farm quaint” with lots of Johnny Cash and Patsy playing. I haven’t had great service in a long time and our waitress last night was fantastic! I highly recommend the prime rib offered on Fri and Saturdays but be sure to make a reservation and put in your order. The cream mushroom soup was AMAZING, also generous that you get salad as well with fresh sourdough bread & butter. My husband ordered the ribs and they were a little dry but still not bad. I would definitely return to this little hidden gem ! There was also a small bar inside with what seemed to be regular locals – all very friendly. I’m excited to try a steak next time!

The best steaks in El Dorado County! Warm country folk! Service was excellent! Randy, the chef is the only one that does the steaks and comes out to greet you..Patty runs the bar which is a fun friendly place to enjoy a drink.. Never have I been disappointed, ever!

We Stopped in last for an amazing jewel of a restaurant. They ask that people make reservations so they can plan on their food supply, but they had plenty of great food. We both had their halibut. The owner said it is the freshest halibut in the land ~ and he was right!!! I’ve never tasted fresher or better. The service is fabulous ~ it’s like stepping back in time to when people were gracious and happy to wait on you. Treat yourself to this jewel hidden away in the mountains of Georgetown. You won’t regret it!!!

The prime rib, the salmon, are delicious! Mountain living has it’s rewards and buckeye is one of them.

Best Prime Rib I’ve had in my life! If you want to get away from the bustle of city life, this is the spot to be. The food will never leave you wanting for more, and they are always willing to engage in a conversation with you, learning more about their customers. I come here as often as I can, and always will!

Called to ask where the beef was sourced from.
I was told “our purveyor.”
Well thank you. Obviously.
I asked “which purveyor” then I got hung up on.
Then I tried to call back and got hung up on immediately twice.
Just found out from a source that it is the same Harris ranch feedlot beef you get everywhere. Not sure why they just wouldn’t admit that.

The wife and I went here for our anniversary. The decor is dated but the food was phenomenal! And the owners and staff are so sweet and fun. ❤️
I strongly encourage you to get the ribeye! And the berry pie!! Also be SURE to call ahead to make reservations.
