Staff were extremely friendly, shoutout to the bartender.
I’d like to preface that I grew up in North Texas and am completely aware there are going to be BBQ differences in California. We ordered the sausage platter assuming it would be your typical andouille style sausage. When it arrived, we noticed after a few minutes that they served us four bratwurst links for $24. Let me tell you, that is absolutely criminal when it comes to BBQ. Burger and chicken sandwich were wonderful, wedges were crisp, everything else was good.
Yet, $24 for four bratwurst links is bewilderingly insane. Also you pay $6-$8 for each side you want, no sides come with the meals besides the sampler. I’m sorry you have to live like this California.

My kiddos and I came here after visiting a local pumpkin/Christmas tree farm. We don’t live here but we definitely will be making a trip back next time we want some BBQ & sweet tea!! 10/10

Overall this is was a great meal! Everything was seasoned well, and packed with flavor. My friend said that the BBQ chicken that was included in the Best of Buck Platter was the best she has ever had. If you want a bit of everything, this platter is the way to go. I have to order Mac and Cheese anytime I see it on a menu at restaraunt, this one was a solid version. The house sauce that came with the wings was spicy anfd tangy. The interior of the restaurant is clean, organized and has that BBQ vibe. The customer service was also top notch! The ladies at the counter were friendly and helped us to decide what to order. I can’t wait to come back for some more great food. Eat up!!!

I tried the “Best of” platter to try everything out. Pulled pork was flavorful but very salty…and I like salt. Chicken good but nothing special. Tri-tip was truly outstanding. Very tender, nice smokiness, good flavor. Next time I’ll get that!! Sides of potato salad and Cole slaw good but unremarkable.
I brought home more than I could possibly eat for lunch. It was a generous portion for two.

I read an article and this bbq ranked No.19 in the whole US, though I never heard of it before. I tried it yesterday with my husband and friends. We had a big rack of big ribs, with side sampler, Mexican corn, onion rings, fries and kid size pulled pork sandwich, plus corn bread and peach cobbler for dessert. The price here is very reasonable and the quantity is very good. The foods are very delicious, and especially the beef ribs, probably the best in SD I’ve ever had so far. All the sides are very very good, I love potato salad, coleslaw, fries, beans, corn…. The corn bread is also highly recommended. The only thing I don’t really into is the peach cobbler, too doughy for me. Anyways, it’s a nice place to have a great bbq!

The food here is pretty good, but for the price, it wouldn’t be my first choice. I’ve eaten much better BBQ at other establishments for similar prices in the area. The atmosphere was pleasant. The service was okay, I didn’t like the fact that I had to stand in line to order, rather than having someone come to take my order. When I go out, I don’t want to stand in line, especially when you are given a menu.

What a fun place to go and enjoy some really great BBQ. My boyfriend was stoked with his ribs. Boy, were they beautiful and tasty. The mac balls were delicious and my chicken sandwich was outstanding. I got the last one, too. They do sell out of items, so be sure to get there early if you want the shhh puppies. We missed out this time but will be back to try them soon. The staff was so friendly and our pup was allowed to eat with us. He is well behaved so we are lucky. He sure enjoyed the rib bone dad gave him, too. I’d recommend going to enjoy the night here at this fun spot in El Cajon.
