Just as awesome as the one down town! I love Bucharest Grill while at work in Detroit and was so happy to see this location while driving by. The location is new and very clean. The set up is the same: order at the counter or by phone; pay & pick up; then enjoy. They have a few tables to dine in but I always carry out. The Bucharest-style wrap is just like they serve in Romania; with the fries inside the wrap and highlighted with garlic and pickles. Very YUMMY! I love the garlic sauce and recommend getting extra on the side. As this location is in a strip mall, the parking wasn’t great but not terrible. I arrived shortly after they opened so there was no wait. The kitchen and counter were very well staffed. There were about 3 of us there and none waited longer than a few minutes for our food.

My father went in on 1/3/2025 to purchase a chicken shawarma for lunch, as he often does. He loves the abundant, flavorful, grilled chicken.
He must have been wearing his Veteran baseball hat because when he got home, there was an extra unfolded paper bag, with a hand written message, thanking him for his service. He was very surprised and pleased with the message.
Thank you for recognizing him and his service!! ❤️✝️

Staff is friendly and efficient, my only problem is the fact we can’t tip with credit card. Times are way to advanced to not have that as an option. People don’t carry cash like they should, and it’s simply not fair to your staff. If you do online ordering and delivery services there’s just no reason why consumers don’t have the option to tip on card. It would be great to have this addressed, we appreciate the work your employees do and we hope you appreciate them as well (by updating your card machine).

The food here is good. The service is okay, nothing special. Make sure to check you bag before you leave!!! They tend to “forget” pita chips or dressings i have had that happen 2 times and getting home and missing items. Now that I know I always check the bag and have to ask for the rest of my order. But overall the food is good.

My husband picked up a large chicken shawarma salad from the St. Clair Shores location earlier today. I didn’t get home from work until 6:30 pm, and when I opened it, the salad was overloaded with green peppers, red onions, and cucumbers and had barely any lettuce. The proportions were completely off.
I called immediately and spoke with the manager, Devin. Instead of apologizing or offering to fix it, he asked if I could “not eat tonight and save it for tomorrow.” Then he told me I would need to bring the salad back if I wanted anything done. After working all day, that was not a reasonable solution.
When I offered to send a photo, he said that wouldn’t do anything. When I asked to speak with someone above him, he told me the owner does not speak to customers. When I said I would leave a review, he responded, “Do what you want.”
He even called me back to tell me he watched camera footage like I’m a criminal. I never said there wasn’t lettuce; I said there was very little compared to the amount of other vegetables. That completely misses the point. Devin’s dismissive and disrespectful behavior toward a loyal customer is unacceptable and should be addressed by Bucharest management immediately. Devin’s attitude is so unprofessional that it risks driving away long-time customers and damaging the reputation of this location.
My family spends money at this location weekly. The food was disappointing, but the way this was handled was worse. If this is the manager at Bucharest, then Bucharest is in trouble. With this attitude toward customers, they are about to lose a lot of money and loyal customers.

The portions that you receive for the price are unheard of these days. I got so much chicken and salad for what I paid, and it was delicious. Bucharest is a great option regardless, but especially if you’re looking to reduce carbs and increase protein intake.

First let me say I have gone to bucharest grill since the very first one in the park bar in detroit. So this is my 4th one and I was so excited to see this one open closer to me so I could get my Schwarma fix. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement! First off the schwarma – if you’re after a sandwich chock full of chicken – this 4 u. That’s basically all I had. A couple pickles, like 2 shreds of lettuce, no tomato and most disappointingly barely any garlic sauce at all. I remember from the park bar days we used to say how delicious they were and the sauce was running down your arms and afterward you would reek of garlic, but it was worth it. The “fatoush” salad was even more disappointing. This didn’t even come close to resembling a fatoush – I think I actually had more green peppers, which I can’t stand, than lettuce! Which I’ve never even had in a fatoush. On top of that, no pita chips at all, which, I see from other reviews I guess happens frequently. None of the signature spice or parsley and a pedestrian vinaigrette. Disappointingly I won’t be back.
