Since BubbaQue’s BBQ was founded by rednecks in a redneck environment, we parody all things in that rural southern environment. It is truly meant as a compliment to that great southern hospitality—and good cooking as well. BubbaQue’s BBQ only smokes the very best cuts of pork, beef and chicken. All of the side dishes are made fresh every day using the best old southern ingredients and recipes.

I went in to eat with my fiancee. The food was good and waitress was nice but the atmosphere was dead. No music playing, the waitress was nice but she looked miserable. It wasn’t really a welcoming experience. Atmosphere is everything, it almost makes the food taste even better lol. I would eat the food again but probably wouldn’t go back to dine in again.

We have eaten at BubbaQue’s in Crystal River (and loved it) so thought we would try the one in Chiefland. Such a huge disappointment. We purchased 2 brisket meals at 17 plus a meal, the brisket was mostly fat, the okra wasn’t done and the fries were cold. The only thing this facility had going for itself was the service was great.

I ordered a half redneck nachos, I asked for crunchy as I always do. My fries weren’t even done, they were hot but not done at all. Very little pulled pork on them but tons of cheese. I asked for no sauce on them but sugar shack on the side, they were covered in sauce I didn’t ask for. I’ve called 3 times and was told the manager wasn’t there and that’s the only person who could help me. This is the 2nd time this has happened, no satisfaction either time. There won’t be a 3rd time. Place has really gone downhill.

This is the fourth time we’ve ordered chicken dinners, and the chicken so dry very hard to eat. The garlic bread, greens and okra were good. The manager contacted me on my review said to email him I did and never heard back from him.
