I finally tried this place. I am so glad I did. I ordered a burger and fries, samosas and Thai iced tea. They were able to accommodate a special order on the burger. However, it was a bit dry. It also took quite a while to get my order. They did not seem busy. Totally worth the wait, though! The fries were close to perfect. No joke. The samosas were some of the best I’ve ever had, not huge, just great flavor and medium-sized. I could not stop drinking the Thai tea. I had to have 2! I also ordered the Loco Moco for my Hubby. He loved it.

Leaving this review for MY reminder not to come back unless its for the Vietnamese coffee only which is really good there. Ive tried this place 4 times. Highly Disappointed each time… Food is a 3. I ordered teriyaki salmon and it smells like bbq, tastes like salty blackened (which im allergic to!!!, blacken seasoning) salmon with a splash of watered down bbq sauce? Idk. Its definitely not yeriyaki. They did at least follow my notes and packed my salad seperate from the salmon and rice.

2 stars for being able to read notes and having good coffee.

Update from giving them a call because this is unacceptable. They tokd me I shouldbhave left notes not to add seasoning. How am I supposed to know they cook their teriyaki salmon with a blackened seasoning?? Never ever in my life have i heard of anything teriyaki using blackening seasons. I explain to them im allergic, they go well leave notes. I tell them how is anyone supposed to know when its not listed on the menu???? They hung up on me… i called back, told them if i dont hear back from someone in 20 minutes ill be coming in and Ill be pushing this further than just a refund.

Bubbaloo is a total hidden gem!! The place is clean, cozy, and inviting, and the food is incredible! The menu is EXTREMELY broad, ranging from Hispanic breakfast (plus Loco Moco!!), fancy French toast combinations, delicious hamburgers, excellent selection of deli sandwiches, and various amazing Asian dishes as well. You could come here for two weeks trying different dishes and you’d never be disappointed. It is clearly very proudly family owned and operated. By this point in the review you’re obviously coming here, so when you do take time to inspect the mural on the wall across from the entrance. The extremely talented artist put, perhaps hundreds, of little Easter eggs, beyond the beautifully executed blend of major components. Can you find Neptune, God of the Seas? My personal favorite might just be the NCC-1701D Enterprise. Hats off to the friendly owners, operators, and staff of this lovely establishment!

Discovered this spot while at the lace cutting for the new ship administration from Richmond to SF. Soooo goood. Quick administration and extraordinary staff. I requested the cob serving of mixed greens. It was dinner new and scrumptious. I just wish I had gotten some information about their dressings as they had a rich cilantro dressing that people kept grabbing. My collaborators got the hot ham and cheddar and the blue cheddar burger. One moved up to the stacked fries! It may be my determination when I am back in the zone. What’s more, perhaps suffocate them in the cilantro dressing. They likewise eat and an incredible espresso choice. Eminently a frosted Vietnamese espresso

Restaurant with excellent prices and portions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had their waffle and breakfast combo, and then tried their banh mi later for lunch; everything was delicious. Their menu is a mix of Vietnamese and American fare. Staff is friendly, and the food is tasty. Thanks for having me!

The first time I visited Bubbaloo Cafe was almost eight years ago (July 2015). My husband and I usually don’t travel to Richmond from Alameda. I was supposed to meet several of my friends for lunch here. They did not show up, so I ordered lunch to go for my husband and me.

Specialties: breakfast, burgers, salads, appetizers, Asian fusion plate meals.

Appetizer: lumpia with sweet chili sauce.

Eats: Panko shrimp with French fries and beef teriyaki, rice and green salad topped with thousand island salad dressing.

The owners are Gio and his wife. They are friendly and eager to please. Customer service is quick and very good.

I have been away from Bubbaloo Cafe far too long. I almost forgot how tasty and delicious the food is. Before I forget, Bubbaloo stops serving breakast at 2:00 PM. Get the huevos rancheros. Description of that breakfast sounds good to me.

The kids and I dodged in to get out of the rain and the wind, and… Yum!
I’m told their hot chocolate was delicious, and actually hot. I had a similar experieence with their coffee. I had the Loco Moco which is a (salisbury?/ground beef?) steak served over rice with two freid eggs on top. The eight and the ten year old both had chicken strips. The 12 year old had a bacon cheeseburger. We spent the entire meal carrying on about how great the food was!
There was plenty of outdoor seating that still managed to be out of the rain and wind. The folks that work there are really nice, and they’re open in the mornings.

Yes the food was great, I ordered a tuna melt, the bread was so fluffy and they weren’t stingy with the tuna. If I’m ever down here again, I’ll be back for lunch.
