Reviews
Right away, the experience stood out because of the service. One of the guys working there, I didn’t catch his name, was extremely friendly. He was welcoming, patient, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us figure out what to order. He took his time explaining the menu, answered every question we had, and offered suggestions without rushing us at all. There was also a woman working the food line who was nice too, just quieter and more focused on prep. Overall, the staff made the visit feel relaxed and positive.
The setup itself is very much in the Chipotle, Moe’s, Qdoba category. Assembly-line, made-to-order burritos and bowls, with some pre-designed options if you don’t want to build from scratch. The location was clean, easy to park at, and had a casual fast-lunch vibe. Nothing fancy, but comfortable.
As for the food, it was okay. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. My burrito ended up a little dry, which could have just been an off day or the particular combination I chose. Flavor-wise, everything was fine, just average. If I’m being honest, it didn’t quite stack up to Chipotle, which is usually my go-to in this category. That said, it wasn’t bad, just not especially memorable.
I’m still glad we tried it, especially because the customer service really was excellent. If you’re nearby or curious, it’s worth giving Bubbakoo’s Burritos a shot, particularly if you enjoy this style of fast-casual food. I’d recommend leaning on the staff for suggestions and maybe going heavier on sauces or toppings to boost flavor.
Overall, great people, solid concept, average food. Not a place I’d go out of my way for, but I wouldn’t be upset stopping in again if I was in the area.
For my second order, I chose a shrimp quesadilla, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it was overly greasy and carried a burnt, charred taste, suggesting the griddle likely needed cleaning. While the team was gracious and kind, I noticed there was no immediate effort to address the griddle issue, as my husband and I lingered a while longer to observe.
Regrettably, both meals were disappointing. Despite the team’s commendable service, the food was tolerable at best, but far from delectable. I hope the restaurant will take these observations constructively and focus on improving food preparation and cleanliness to match their fair customer service. It would have been nice if there was some type of incentive offered for a future visit as a show of concern that we were leaving still hungry and unhappy. If there is a next time I believe it will be better.
• BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL: HIBACHI STEAK, SEASONED WHITE RICE (a little clumped), FAJITA VEGGIES (PEPPERS & ONION), PICO DE GALLO, CILANTRO, SOUR CREAM, CHEESE, LETTUCE
• CHIPS AND QUESO 4oz – fresh tasting, salty, crunchy. The queso has a little kick, wasn’t runny nor too thick.
• MINI CHURROS W/CARAMEL SAUCE – good snd still good after sitting a few hours. Other places they would get hard before you ate them.
Bubbakoo’s Burritos offers a delightful dining experience, particularly with their taco salad and their new item Birria-Dilla. The taco salad is fresh and flavorful, featuring a perfect mix of crunchy greens, savory meat, and a variety of toppings and flavored sauces that blend together beautifully. The birria-dillas are equally impressive, with a crispy exterior and a gooey, cheesy filling that is both satisfying and delicious.
What sets Bubbakoo’s apart is their friendly and attentive staff. Nick and David, in particular, are super great and incredibly kind, ensuring a pleasant visit with their excellent customer service.
Additionally, the restaurant frequently introduces exciting new items such as a new sauce, (Guchujang) on the menu, keeping the dining experience fresh and interesting. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, Bubbakoo’s Burritos stands out not only for its tasty food but also for its warm and inviting atmosphere.
This is a great place we like to come to eat. We enjoy the food, the ambience, the cleanliness of the place and the great service every time we come here.
Nick is always here when we come and we look forward to having him serve us as he is so kind, professional and always has a smile. His hospitality skills are superb!
Thank you!!
Steve
Office ordered take out today, had a piece of hair in my food, my associate had hair in her food, ordered chips with my meal, along with queso and chips, and I got no chips!! You call the store, no one answers. We walked in to pick up and the take out person was one of the rudest people and should not be in a position to have to deal with people and their food. Quality check is a must and they failed that today!!! NEVER WILL I EAT OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE EVER!!!!
