This was our first time eating here and we were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and had great service. The bartenders were fabulous. For drinks we had Old Fashioned’s and we ordered the fast ferry, which is 24 oysters, 12 shrimp, and a chef’s selection of other things. We were not disappointed, the food was awesome. We also had a bowl of New England clam chowder which was quite delicious. This a great place to get food and we highly recommend it to anyone.

Had immediate seating and a great spot for people watching. Was able to order a variety of tasty food and a nice selection of drinks. The service was very friendly and prompt. Was a little early for the live music, but when passing later it sounded great and people were having a blast. Will definitely go back.

A lot of the Villa restaurants in Provincetown don’t appear to be much from the outside because they’re like little looks in the wall, but inside is where it counts. A lot of the restaurants including this one is very dog friendly. Were we able to bring our German Shepherd with us outside and eat there. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. I had a Cubano sandwich. Was there something very different than I usually have? And I’m glad I did. It was probably the best sandwich that I’ve had in a long time and was tempted to bring another one back to our hotel with us. Staff was very accommodating with our dog as well bringing him something to drink and we had brought extra food for him to have at the same time. The clam charter was excellent where it was not too rich and not too thin but perfect for our taste. The fish and chips were also very well done where the batter was not too thick and the fish was very tender. One thing that was amazing was for dessert. They actually had a ginger chocolate mousse which is very hard to find any type of mousse in our area that we live. Probably because it takes so long and it’s so delicate to make. If you’re looking for any area to go in Provincetown, this is definitely one of the ones you have to hit..

Excellent local spot with great food. Choice of sitting out front on the pedestrianized street and people watching, inside, or out back with a view of the bay. There is parking available but the area is an excellent place to walk or bike and pedicabs are available.

Kind and helpful server but very mediocre food.
My husband and I really wanted to like this restaurant. It looked so inviting on the outside and the food descriptions on the menu sounded super promising.
We were served small, overpriced portions of bland food (literal canned chick peas in our pasta) that tasted like they were made by a college student who just got into cooking. I would not recommend.

Got the lamb tacos
Very good, has a nice little kick at the end which was great. Just wish the taco shells were fresh, they were a little dry.
The waiter was very personable and the food came out within 20 minutes. Very nice outdoor seating rifht in downtown p town.

We arrived in town on Saturday, July 20th, and before we could check in to our hotel we had a lunch at Bubala’s. We were seated at bayside patio. But that’s where exitement ended. Our waitress gave us attitude because one person in our party was a little indecisive about lunch. Honey, let me remind you – never give attitude for any reason, when most of your wages are tips. Never. Period. We just asked you to come back later because he needed more time, that’s it.
Food arrived relatively quickly. Friend ordered Capri sandwich which according to him was good. My husband got Fish tacos and I ordered Thai chicken salad and Cubano. I defenetely over ordered. Salad itself was a meal, and it was good. Cuban sandwich was nothing special. Not bad, but nothing to rave about it. Fish tacos were ok, way overpriced.
For what ever reason I didn’t enjoyed the lunch and was not planning to come back during my seven days stay in town.
But we did. We didn’t plant it, but because of restaurant across the street was already closed on Wednesday for late night dinner, we desided to dine at Bubala’s. My expectations were low at that point, so…
Hostess that night was very pleasant and seated us under the heaters in front of the restaurant. By the way, hostess on our arrival day lunchtime was lovely as well, only waitress attitude that day spoiled our experience at this establishment.
Anyway, our waitress on Wednesday night dinner was Laura. She is seasonal worker from Europe. Let me tell you something: Bubala’s should keep her at any cost. I had one of the best costumer service in dinning, thanks to this young lady. Superb. Attention to details and impeccable service.
Either chef was different or because Laura’s outstanding service, food tasted great. I got small Quinoa & Kale salad- delicious. Especially dressing, and melting in the mouth Braised Short Ribs. WOW. Just WOW. My husband’s Seafood Cassoulet was great. My friend got Burger with gorgonzola cheese. Delicious!
I would like to thank Laura again for her dedication for this not easy proffesion. Your positive attitude and great service changed my opinion about Bubala’s.
Couple suggestions for management- would be nice to get carafe of water while dining. I sucked it out my glass of water in three seconds. Then had to wait for ten minutes for the next one. I think carafe or jug of water on the table would make staff’s work much easier as well. Esspecially on hot day.
Bathrooms need some spruce up and a little bit more attention at busier times.
P.S. Be aware they do charge $11 for bread basket even with dinner.

Stopped here for lunch during our vacation. Atmosphere is great. Sat in the front outside area which was cute. Not too noisy and easy to have a conversation with your table. There is a road right outside, but not heavily used at all.
Food was good, only got lunch, so I can’t judge on other options. It did take quite some time to get our food and the place wasn’t packed. Busy, but nowhere near capacity, so that was a but disappointing.
Got the Fish sandwich which was pretty good, fries were amazing!
Recommend this place if you’re in the area. Just keep the items above in mind.

Maybe a 3.5 star rating, definitely not a four but for the service.
Got there about 7:15 pm on Tuesday the second week of September. Lots of tables available but the hostess wouldn’t give us our choice of a larger table, claiming it would become busier later. It didn’t. The table remained unoccupied for the entire time we were there as was the rest of the patio area. The first server took drink orders and explained the specials. He spent the next 10 minutes talking to the customers at a nearby table and filling their orders. Completely ignored us. 15 minutes later, we had to walk over to the hostess to inquire about the drink orders and prices on the specials. She didn’t know about the prices or drink orders but provided us with a different waiter (waitress). She was great. Drink orders came immediately from her followed by timely food service. Food was only better than ok considering the price.
Wouldn’t recommend.
