Reviews
We started with the crab rangoon and veggie dumplings, both delicious and flavorful. For drinks we tried the Pomelo Mai Thai and Berry Margarita, which were refreshing and well balanced.
For mains we had the miso veggie ramen and pineapple fried rice with shrimp, and both were excellent. The pineapple fried rice especially had great flavor and generous portions.
We finished with mango sticky rice, which was the perfect dessert.
Also worth noting — they have a huge vegetarian menu, which makes it a great spot if you’re dining with friends who have different dietary preferences.
Overall everything from the food to the atmosphere was a 10/10. Definitely a great Thai spot on the Upper East Side.
For the main course, we tried Gai Tod Hat Yai which has a beautifully crisp exterior fried in oyster sauce and juicy meat, bua Thai has mastered the art of fryering ). Their Pad See-Ew was good too. They have a MASSIVE menu to choose from, ranging from seafood to chicken and beef, rice, all kinds of noodles, and cocktails and mocktails. It also happens to have Halal, gluten-free, and vegan options. The drinks were so good, the aesthetic was just very Instagram-able. For dessert, we ordered Crepe Cake, and for drinks, we had an organic Thai mojito served in a literal coconut and a piña colada in a fresh pineapple.
They also had a statue of Ganesha & Duma and their bathrooms were too cute.
Their Tropical Cocktails were excellent, and the presentation of the food and drinks were simply stunning!
The desert tasted divine, and the staff was so friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
The atmosphere was so aesthetic and romantic.
I highly recommend the Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp and the Clay Pot Fried Rice. I absolutely loved our drinks: Bua Sangria and the Pina Colada!
I had a wonderful time, and I’d love to come back soon.
I was invited to try Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill and this was a great opportunity to celebrate one of my good friend’s birthdays as well!
this was a a great experience, would definitely return. I was so amazed at how delicious the drinks were and how flavorful the entrees were. HIGHLY recommend trying the clay pot fried rice, i’m still thinking about it!
we got two appetizers, two entree, two drinks & 1 dessert!
appetizers- Chicken Curry Puffs (FAV) & Fried Chicken Dumplings
drinks- Pina Colada & Melon Berry Satho (WOW)
entrees- Sweet chili salmon w/ Forbidden Brown Rice
& Clay Pot Fried Rice (I was amazed)
Dessert- Fried Chocolate ice cream
Next to our new table, they were celebrating a birthday and the waitress brought out a neon “Happy Birthday” sign, which is a nice touch. Great marketing and very “Instagramable”, as another reviewer noted.
Go for the ambience if you are in the area, and note the food is ok (and tailored to American tastes, which means it’s on the sweeter side).
There’s this popular Ramen place in Los Angeles that I used to go to and I’ve missed it since moving to New York. Bua’s spicy vegan ramen has been the closest thing to that meal I have found after living here for six years. My taste buds felt at home after my first few bites in. WOW! Thank you
Everything from the food down to the service was top tier.
I took my mom here for dinner on her birthday and all the dishes we ordered were accurately cooked the way they would be in Thailand.
Our favorites were the mango pokpok salad and crab rangoon for the appetizers, while for the mains, we absolutely went crazy for the crab fried rice and pad thai with crispy pork. I love the serving sizes and the ratio of crab to rice in the khao pad. It was also seasoned to perfection!
For dessert, the classic mango sticky rice hit the spot and transported us back to our Thailand days. Just the right balance of sweet and tangy.
Will definitely come back and have already told friends to give it a try. ☺️
The staff were extremely kind and professional — they made the whole experience even better. I especially loved their tofu dishes and the dessert section — everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well prepared.
Definitely a great spot for Thai & ramen lovers. Highly recommended!
