Had an amazing anniversary dinner! Our waiter Cole gave us some great advice and we enjoyed the goat cheese skillet, onion soup, ribeye, ridge and valley chicken and the creme brûlée. Thanks to the team for a great experience! We will be back to this hidden gem!

The food is well thought out and cooked to perfection. It was worth the stay just to eat here. The waitress on the third night was not very friendly. The lamb chops, chicken schnitzel, and pumpkin swordfish was phenomenal. Also, the cookie and pumpkin ice and the baklava a real treat. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Tucked inside the historic General Morgan Inn on Main Street in downtown Greeneville, The Brumley Restaurant & Lounge offers an elegant and inviting dining experience. Upon entering, you’re warmly greeted at the hostess station, conveniently located beside the bar and intimate lounge area. The restaurant features three separate dining rooms, each beautifully decorated to reflect the rich history and era of the hotel.
We ordered the Filet Mignon served with a baked potato, whiskey-infused carrots, and spinach, along with the Tavern Onion Soup. The Chicken Schnitzel was accompanied by their loaf of magical bread and sweet butter. The Southern Berry Tea was delightful, and the mixed drinks were perfectly crafted. It was such a pleasure to enjoy a quiet atmosphere where we could unwind and catch up after a long day.
Our server’s, Ashley and Cole, offered thoughtful suggestions and attentive service truly enhanced the experience. The food was divine — both the steak and chicken were cooked to perfection. Thank you to the chef for such an incredible meal! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning on our next trip.

We were so pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food was last night! We ate in the bar area and ordered the burgers. They were FANTASTIC!!! Cole, our waiter, held down the bar area & was great! He shared his recommendations and explained how all breads were made in house. The Japanese milk burger buns were outstanding!! We cannot wait to go back and take our family members with us. Great job, Brumley’s!

We decided to have supper here again after ten years or so. It was great the first time. My wife and I both had the cream spinach and it was very watery, the cheese on mine was burnt. I ordered the Wagyu ribeye medium rare. It came out the first time with very little pink. I sent it back. When the brought out the third steak it was grey. I cancelled my order and had two bourbons. Nice atmosphere, very cozy setting. But if you pay $75 for a steak you should have someone that knows how to prepare it to order. Should’ve been better……..

My husband and I ate brunch at Brumley’s several years ago and talked about coming back. When a dear friend was visiting from California, we decided to impress him by making reservations at Brumley’s. This beautiful restaurant is inside the very elegant General Morgan Inn. I ordered the Wagu filet, my husband had the roasted chicken, and our friend had the root vegetable lasagna. We all tasted each other’s entrees and really had a hard time deciding what tasted best since everything was scrumptious. The zucchini au gratin that came with my steak was something I could easily eat every single day – there was a hint of nutmeg that took it over the tip. My husband declared his chicken the best chicken he has ever had and after tasting it, I would have to agree. Service was very good. At first glance, I thought the prices were pretty expensive, but after tasting the love and care that went into everything we ordered, the prices were on point.

Well I made reservations as needed and in the section asking if any specific details about the reservation I mentioned it was 35th Wedding Anniversary Dinner, and when I arrived the host didn’t even hello or anything, I had to tell him we arrived for our 5:30pm reservation gave my name and he looked it up and said follow me. No hello no are you having a good day no nothing. Then the very nice server approached took drink orders and welcomed us. When drinks arrived I mentioned to the server it’s our 35th anniversary. She replied oh my I wish I’d known, nobody told me. I told her I stated it in my reservation.
What I’m not happy about is the host and his frumpy attitude at work, his non verbal hello, or even acting as if he didn’t want to be there. I dropped $156.00 on dinner and tipped the waitress very well. I had just expected a little more attention being they promote their restaurant as upscale and personal. So I asked if I could take the leftover appetizer home, sure they replied, I asked for a few more pieces of bread to add to the appetizer because we ate them all and they charged me $5.00 more dollars. For six small pieces of bread. Under my breath I said what in the world is this. I paid it only not to tarnish the evening. Greeneville Tn has issues with good workers as I’ve lived here for 8 years. I shook my head and said this is so typical with this area. If you’ve lived here any amount of time you must know what I mean. I good stars but had to spell out the lack of attention to detail
