I watched people come and go the whole time.
Most appear to be regulars. The staff and customers greeted each other as the new customers came in the door. There was a table of guys drinking coffee and swapping stories.
The food is good as was the coffee. They were very accommodating when I had a special order for my wife.
During slow times I had a chance to visit with the people behind the counter.
The music playing in the background was also enjoyable. I will stop in again next time I am in the area.
There were a couple of things off about today’s visit, but most notably was this drink. It’s early morning, I forgot to ask to remove milk from the drink, that’s on me I know. But when I asked the guy if he could remake the drink, even while being apologetic about it, man he was so irritated about it.
That alone is not unreasonable right? But: – What is this gunk in my drink? I hope coffee grounds? Thought it’s supposed to be filtered out.
– Why does the drinks taste like it was drowning in sweetener?
– If you’re not happy about remaking a drink, don’t remake my drink in retaliation?
Very likely will not be coming back. Franchises have a set menu so any points the store gets for “great food” really go to the brand itself, not the store. The very controllable element of an individual store is who they hire, giving them proper training, paying them fairly. Something in that mix is off
This gem hidden in a strip mall far exceeded our expectations. My family highly recommends it!
When we arrived, the woman behind the counter didn’t greet us at all. Instead, she began the interaction with a curt, “What do you want?”—as if we were inconveniencing her by simply being there. My dad started placing our order with two Asiago Parmesan bagels toasted with cream cheese (just the first two of five items), and she abruptly walked away without entering anything into the system or offering any explanation.
Caught off guard by her behavior, I politely said, “We have more items on our list to order,” hoping to prompt some communication or acknowledgment. She offered no response—just continued to look at us with visible annoyance. We went ahead and gave the rest of our order, including mine, my dad’s, and another family member’s.
Eventually, a second employee came over and asked us to repeat everything so he could enter the order correctly—something that should have been handled from the beginning.
At the time of writing this review, we haven’t even made it home with our food, so this feedback has nothing to do with food quality. It’s solely about the shockingly poor customer service. Interactions like this are unacceptable and make it unlikely we’ll return.
