I had my first Bruegger’s bagel while in royal oak on a Saturday morning. Everything toasted w/jalapeño cream cheese. Fantastic!
It’s Sunday morning and I drove back for another. This is the best bagel I’ve ever had.

Bruegger’s has the most delicious bagels that actually taste like a New York bagel. The sesame is completely covered in sesame seeds all sides, fantastic! The pumpernickel has actual rye flour that you can taste. I also love that these bagels are not humongous. They are a good hefty size but not huge.

Angelica is 5 stars for everything! She has great customer service! The custom bagel with avocado and egg was very well done and had a savory taste! The Royal Oak location was better than I expected!

The Fern in Royal Oak is a cozy spot that radiates warmth and charm. I ordered a large cold berry blue and enjoyed soaking in the inviting ambiance, complete with thoughtful décor and a welcoming vibe. The Barista, working solo, was kind and prepared my drink with care.
Additionally, I stopped by another local favorite for a quick bite and was not disappointed. The pastrami, egg & Swiss sandwich on gourmet maple French toast was packed with flavor, and the blueberry muffin was a delightful treat. Both items were well-prepared and fresh, enhancing my overall experience in Royal Oak.

We ordered four Leonardo da Veggie bagels, and the lettuce in at least one of them was awful. We will definitely find another place to eat bagels.

I love Bruegger’s Bagels but I’m not a huge fan of this location. Every time I get a bagel at this location the bagel is as white as a sheet of paper. When I go to the location in Ann Arbor or the one in Rochester Hills the bagels are cooked to a nice golden brown. The bagels at the Royal oak location look almost raw. It has me nervous and I always have to ask them not to slice my bagel and for the cream cheese on the side. I then take the bagel back to work and I have to put it in the oven a little longer to get it golden brown to make sure it’s cooked properly. I shouldn’t have to do that. Rather than pick my favorite flavor, I pick the bagel that looks the darkest.

Decent fast food. The rosemary bagel is got was barely toasted and somewhat dough-like. I don’t think it had been baked properly. Staff was nice and food was quick.
