Burgos Bagels never disappoints. Fresh, delicious bagels every time with great service to match. You can really taste the quality, and the staff is always welcoming. Definitely a go-to spot!

Whenever we are down in CT visiting the grandkids this is one stop we always make. LOVE the Bruegger Bagels. Very consistent in their product. Nice and chewy! So good I rarely put anything on my blueberry bagel. However my husband always gets a bacon egg and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel. I know it sounds like a strange combination but it’s actually quite good.
If you live here or just passing through you must stop at a Brueggers Bagel shop!
My only complaint is why isn’t there a Brueggers Bagel shop “down east” here in Maine. Lol.

I ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches which almost came to $20. They were pretty terrible. The bagels weren’t even toasted properly, were chewy, there was hardly any cheese, and the egg and bacon were gross. You would honestly get a better sandwich from Dunkin. This was our first and LAST TIME going to this location. The one in New Haven is much better. I would avoid this spot unless if you’re okay with getting ripped off…

I stop into this Brueggers a couple times a week, coffee & creamer are always full and out, full assortment of bagels always available in the early AM, the service at the register is always flawless and the sandwiches always come out fast and amazing!

Horrendous service when it comes to take-out orders in particular. Employees do not even acknowledge drivers or in-person customers waiting to place an order. Instead, they get snippy and rude when customers ask them for an estimate on how much longer an order will be. There is a short, stout, plump, rotund girl with long straight black hair who is particularly nasty. Management ought to revamp their staff (let some go and retrain the rest) because this representation of Brugger’s is flat out embarrassing.

I placed an online order and attempted to make a payment, but received an error message stating, “Couldn’t take your payment, try again.” Assuming it didn’t go through, I called to place a pickup order and paid in store thinking the online order might have been declined since it was my first purchase in Connecticut.
When reviewing my credit card statement, I discovered that the original online payment had actually been processed. When I called the store to address the issue the employee mentioned that several other customers had experienced the same problem. If that’s the case, the website should be taken down or there needs to be an option to pay in store so people don’t get stuck with fraudulent charges that they might not even know about.
Additionally, when I requested to speak with a manager, I overheard the employee I was on the phone with being told to just take my complaint rather than allowing me to speak directly with management. The employee told me to call my bank, she might as well have told me to get lost that’s how unhelpful they were. This came across as unprofessional and dismissive. This happened to me recently where a restaurant charged me twice and they were very attentive to the issue and reversed the charge.
I hope this business takes steps to address both the website issue and their customer service approach.

Brueggars is built on selling good bagels. It’s pretty sad when they can’t cook a bagel properly half of the time. And this is at many different locations in CT. The poppy bagels I bought were quite undercooked. They had no browning whatsoever and were very doughy. And no flavor. Had to throw it out. I think I’m looking for another bagel place.
Edit: Gave Brueggar’s another try after a year. Pretty much same outcome. Poppy and sesame bagels were way undercooked while cinnamon raisin was a tad overdone.
So its a total hit or miss whether you get a good or bad bagel.

Pretty pathetic for the astronomical prices…the smallest bagel I’ve ever seen. Very chewy and the cream cheese tasted sour. Having to remind the cashier of your order…sad. definitely will not be going back. I’ll stick with neils where the bagels don’t taste like undercooked dough and the bagels are of a normal size…

I never imagined I would find a McDonald’s version of a bagel spot but here we are. This place is an insult to bagel spots. The bagels are very small circumference wise and overloaded with seasoning to the point it cut the roof of my mouth. I got my regular order … ham, bacon, egg and a hashbrown on a garlic bagel with salt, pepper and ketchup. I was told they don’t put the ketchup on the sandwich. I had to gather packets. When I saw that they were not cooking anything on a griddle I was concerned. I was right to be concerned. The bacon was thin and not crispy … like McDonald’s. The egg was a perfect circle … like McDonald’s. You can watch your food being prepared so at one point a little muffin was placed on the sandwich and smashed down into mush. I asked what was that and was told it was the hashbrown. Who makes muffin shaped hashbrowns? Whoever’s idea that was should be fired. I also got an everything bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. The jalapeno cream cheese was overly spicy. It is supposed to be a nice blend … edible. It was so spicy I was coughing so much I couldn’t eat it. Also it was yellow for some reason??? When I open the sandwich with the hashbrown the smushed mess looked like vomit. I tasted a bit of it and it had cheese! I get some may want cheese in their hashbrown but that being the default is foul. I scraped it off and proceeded to destroy the roof of my mouth. I will say that the place was very clean and the employees were kind and attentive.

Very yummy bagel! I got the Honey Sirracha Sunrise, my boyfriend got the Smoked House Brisket, both are very tasty! A little greasy, but that’s always good for a hangover! The only thing I would say made it less than perfect was no paper menu’s. I know we all have phones & could easily look up a menu, but it would have just been a lot easier for people who are hard of seeing to have a paper menu. & not everyone has a cellphone. Other than that, it was nice! The lady who served us was very patient & kind as well!
