Went to this location yesterday morning around 8:30am and ordered two breakfast sandwiches, 6 bagels and a coffee. My husband’s sandwich was pretty good except the bacon wasn’t pepper bacon and it was undercooked. My sandwich had completely brown guac on it. Three of the six bagels were completely malformed (see photos) – we should’ve looked in the bag. The three people working behind the counter were friendly, but this move of selling sub-par bagels felt quite dishonest.

Was awesome for many years, I think change in owner not sure but quality went down. I Never stop supporting them and I have found that the quality is back to where it was. Definitely worth revisiting if you want to have the older style bagels.

First time at this location and to be honest, will not be returning. While I absolutely LOVE Bruegger’s Bagels I left with a bad taste in my mouth and decided I would not leave the parking lot until I had left this review. First of all, the location is dingy and a little dirty. 2 of the 3 girls working there were very friendly and cordial, thanking me and telling me to have a nice day. The one lady, with intricately braided red hair who came up from the back of the store was NOT. Initially when she stopped to help help 2 younger girls at the register she was animated, friendly and smiling and conversing with them, I can only assume they were regulars. When I went back up to purchase a small bagel bundle to go, she acted like I was bothering her, stone faced, no smile, very mumbled. While at the register she rang up my purchase and by the time I had inserted my card in the machine and finalized my purchase she had simply walked off, with no thank you or have a nice day or come again, leaving my receipt hanging from the top of the register. I stood there a little shocked waiting for her to come back, but she went to the other side of the counter, so I gathered my bagels, my son and my bag and left feeling very angry. So utterly disappointed!! Don’t treat certain customers one way and other another way. It was so very obvious, O always try to treat retail and food employees with dignity and respect. I always try to be kind and thank them for their help, but this behavior was horrible, and I will NOT be returning to this location ever again. I will be happy to drive to Wallingford to get my Bruegger’s fix from now on…

Bruegger’s used to be decent. I am not sure what has happened to this location. Stopped in this morning for a bagel and coffee. The place is quite dingy and dirty and the staff is no better. There was a tall, middle aged gentleman making the bagels. He had a towel slung over his shoulder and i saw him wipe his face with it after dumping fresh bagels into their spots and didn’t wash his hands. He looks very rough and unclean. The Hazelnut iced coffee was literally the nastiest coffee I’ve ever had. I think i am all set with this location.

Usually I take my daughter to Avon Brugger’s Bagel, so she feels happy for the whole day. But today our order by filled by a person who is not ready to listen. The person displayed an attitude that we have take whatever she picked for us. This ruined our Sunday morning, which is suppose to be the other way. This person need some listening skill and soft skills training, so that everyone who visit can have good experience with their visit and can enjoy the delicious bagel that they sell. I gave 1 star because of the experience that we had today at store.

Not sure why, but their idea of a “toasted bagel” is one that is warm and not really toasted. When I go there, I have to keep an eye out, and ask them to put my bagel through the toaster again.

I tried the bacon avocado tomato sandwich on an Asiago parm bagel. It was bomb! Nicely balanced, the bagel was tasty, and it was so fresh! I don’t know why it took me so long to try Bruegger’s.

The food is great at the Avon location, but everything I call in my order the person taking it is always rude! She sounds like she hates her job and turns out she is the manager at the Avon location. Her phone etiquette is extremely rude! Definitely rethinking the business I give to them!

The worst bagel, the rudest staff, and the dirtiest bagel store in the CT state. Never visit again. We ordered two bagels today, they were prepared by a very very poorly stuffed. The store was very dirty. The ceilings were filthy. And the staff was very rude, the cashier shouted at us and told ‘do not sit down. (We after learned that their dining room is still closed, BUT okay why you were such mean and rude?!!)
