Ordered bagels online the day before for a work meeting. The order was ready for pickup the next day at the correct time and all the orders were correct. I was surprised that it wasn’t busy inside when I arrived. Plenty of seating if we had decided to meet there.

I have been coming there for over 2 and a half years and i have seen a big difference from when first started to come there. I have seen this shop is under new management she is a blond woman running the store. She always has a smile her staff is always friendly and welcoming. They knows your name and order they are awesome. I hope this review gets to the manager and there boss. She is a gem to be around and always friendly. If you VALUE YOUR LIFE, BEWARE
Just the facts – Nov. 11th, 2022
-While my sandwich was being made, another worker leaned over it and pressed her apron-clad belly INTO the sandwich. Right into the side with the may sauce on it. I pointed it out to both coworkers who stared back at me either out of lack of comprehension or not caring. My wife said to let it go which I did.
-10 seconds later, the other coworker presses her belly into the sauce side of the sandwich AGAIN. WOW. Didn’t bother pointing it out, I knew it would be ignored again. I figure I was a boy scout, oh well.
-at home, while chewing a bit of the sandwich I ALMOST SWALLOWED AN OPEN STAPLE that was INSIDE THE SANDWICH. (see pic)
-called the place to let them know- eventually spoke to the manager weeks later (a message I left the day of the incident where I was told “the manager will DEFINITELY get back to you” never happened. He was apologetic and was going to get back to me. Never did. But for what? They might offer a gift cert or something but I will never eat Bruegger’s AGAIN nor buy it for family or friends, or coworkers.
-also CORPORATE “Contact” site never responded to my complaint. Guess they don’t care about almost killing customers. Interesting data point. Should inform local board of health too.
As a veteran food service person, this was an appalling, shocking incident. I guess accidents happen, but the unsanitary food prep conditions, sharp metal INSIDE food, and rock-bottom poor customer relations mean I will never darken the door of a Bruegger’s and will discourage everyone I know to do the same.

Real bagels! They are soft and chewy, the way bagels are supposed to be. Our favorites are the blueberry bagels, but we also like the whole wheat, the sesame, and the poppy seed ones. We usually buy a baker’s dozen and freeze some in the complimentary freezer bags that they offer at the cash register.
Among the cream cheeses that they sell in tubs, our favorites are the honey walnut and the smoked salmon (pictured below).

I’m afraid this location has really gone down hill through the years, and previous reviewer Hector was on point with his observation about rude service. The woman running the sandwich counter this morning was quick to snip at several customers in line when they clarified elements of their orders or asked basic questions. No thanks!
Also, skip the cold brew, which was the opposite of a fortified iced coffee: grayish in color and completely overpowered by a splash of cream.
Is this a franchised location? If so, time for HQ to take it back and return the friendly vibe to this once-great neighborhood spot.
